Automotodrom Grobnik
Automotodrom Grobnik is a motorsport race track located in Čavle, north of Rijeka, Croatia. The circuit was built in 15 months and was opened in 14 September 1978. From 1978 to 1990, it hosted the Yugoslavian motorcycle Grand Prix of MotoGP. Currently, among other competitions, the automotodrom hosts the Croatia Prix, which is a valid race for the FIA CEZ Formula 3 Championship. In 2020, Rijeka also hosted NASCAR Whelen Euro Series rounds as a late replacement for Autodrom Most, whose round was cancelled late in the season due to COVID-19 restrictions. Mile Pajic
Mile Pajic (born 29 December 1955) is a Dutch former professional motorcycle racer. He raced in Grand Prix racing between 1984 and 1986, scoring six championship points. Career Pajic made his first Grand Prix start at the 500cc British Grand Prix at Silverstone in 1984. In 1985 Pajic made three Grand Prix start and scored his first points with an eight place finish at the Dutch TT. He finished a career-high 17th in the championship that year. Pajic made nine Grand Prix starts in 1986 and matched his previous best finish of eight at the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa. Pajic finished 19th in the championship that year in what would be his final season in Grand Prix racing. After his Grand Prix career Pajic became a regular in the Superbike World Championship. Marco Papa (16 March 1958 in Perugia, Umbria, Italy, – 9 September 1999 near Adro Italy) was a Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. His most successful year was in 1990 when he finished in 13th place in the 500cc world championship aboard a Moto Club Perugia sponsored Honda NS500. Boet van Dulmen (; 19 May 1948 – 16 September 2021) was a Dutch Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. Together with Wil Hartog and Jack Middelburg, he was part of a contingent of Dutch riders who competed at the highest levels of Grand Prix racing in the late 1970s. Cagiva is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer. It was founded in 1950 by Giovanni Castiglioni in Varese, originally producing small metal components. Giovanni's sons, Claudio and Gianfranco Castiglioni, went into the motorcycle industry in 1978. The name is a portmanteau derived from the founder's name 'Giovanni Castiglioni' and the founding location, i.e. ''CAstiglioni GIovanni VArese''. In its history, Cagiva won races in Dakar and Motocross competitions, as well as in Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Joan Garriga
Joan Garriga Vilaresau (29 March 1963 – 27 August 2015) was a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. He was known for his aggressive riding style. Together with Sito Pons, he helped to forge the path for Spanish riders in the World Championship’s premier class. Garriga had his best year in 1988, when he won three races and finished second in the 250cc world championship to Pons. In 1990, he moved up to the 500cc class but failed to repeat his successes in the 250 class. He also competed in the Superbike World Championship in 1993. In 1998, Garriga was arrested for drug trafficking and possessing illegal weapons, and ultimately sentenced to two years' imprisonment, suspended. Court-obtained medical records showed that he had been regularly taking drugs during his motorcycle-racing career. Garriga died due to injuries suffered in a motorcycle road accident in August 2015.
