The 1986 Copa Libertadores Final was a Two-legged tie, two-legged football match-up to determine the Copa Libertadores 1986, 1986 Copa Libertadores champion. It was contested by Argentine club Club Atlético River Plate, River Plate and Colombian club América de Cali. The first leg of the tie was played on October 22 at Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero, Pascual Guerrero Stadium of Cali, with the second leg played on October 29 at Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti, Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires.Copa Libertadores 1986

Juan Gilberto Funes Baldovino (8 March 1963 – 11 January 1992), nicknamed "''El Búfalo''" (The Buffalo), was an Argentine footballer who played as a striker, known for his physical style of play. Nery Alberto Pumpido (born 30 July 1957) is an Argentine football coach and former goalkeeper who played for Argentina in two World Cups. After retirement, Pumpido moved into club management. Willington José Ortiz Palacio (born March 26, 1952 in Tumaco) is a Colombian former professional footballer who played as forward or winger. Carlos Ischia (born 28 October 1956 in Buenos Aires) is a former Argentine footballer. Playing career Ischia played for Chacarita Juniors and Vélez Sársfield in Argentina as well as representing the Argentina national football team.
