1986 1. Divisjon
The 1986 1. divisjon was the 42nd completed season of top division football in Norway. The season began on 27 April 1986 and ended on 19 October 1986. 22 games were played with 2 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Number eleven and twelve were relegated. The winners of the two groups of the 2. divisjon were promoted, as well as the winner of a series of play-off matches between the two second-placed teams in the two groups of the 2. divisjon and number ten in the 1. divisjon. Lillestrøm SK won the league, after a slow start but later 11 wins in a row. It was Lillestrøm's fourth title. Viking and Strømmen were relegated to the 2. divisjon. Eliteserien
Eliteserien () is a Norwegian professional league for association football clubs. At the top of the Norwegian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. Seasons run from March to November with each team playing 30 matches (playing each other home and away). Most games are played on Sunday evenings. Eliteserien was founded in 1937 as Norgesserien (English: ''The League of Norway''), and the first season was the 1937–38 season. Mjøndalen
Mjøndalen is a built up area in Drammen municipality in Viken county (formerly Buskerud county), Norway. It is situated south of the Drammenselva River opposite of Krokstadelva. History Mjøndalen has traditionally been a railway site most known as an industrial sawmill location. Historically Mjøndalen was known for its industry; including paper & pulp production and a substantial cellulose industry. The production of wood products and furniture are also traditional commercial activities. All the paper mills closed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Sports and media Mjøndalen has a friendly sports rivalry with the neighbouring communities of Solbergelva and Krokstadelva. The Åråsen Stadion, officially written Åråsen stadion, is an all-seater stadium, all-seater association football, football stadium located in Lillestrøm, a city east of Oslo in Skedsmo, Norway. Lillestrøm is a municipality in Viken county. It is located in the traditional district of Romerike. With a population of 85,757 inhabitants, it is the fourth most populated municipality in Viken. Gjemselund Stadion is a football stadium in Kongsvinger, Norway and the home ground of Norwegian third tier club Kongsvinger IL Toppfotball.
