The 1985–86 season was Paris Saint-Germain's 16th season in existence. PSG played their home league games at the Parc des Princes in Paris, registering an average attendance of 25,832 spectators per match. The club was presided by Francis Borelli and the team was coached by Gérard Houllier. Luis Fernandez was the team captain. Summary A little over a year after the cup loss to the principality side, Paris conquered France under Gérard Houllier's guidance, who had taken over from Christian Coste. PSG were crowned league champions for the first time in their history in 1985–86, much to the joy of their growing fanbase in the Kop of Boulogne stand. Boulogne Boys, the club's first ultra group and one of their most famous supporters' groups ever, were founded in 1985. Safet Sušić
Safet "Pape" Sušić (; born 13 April 1955) is a Bosnian professional football manager and former player who was most recently the manager of TFF First League club Akhisarspor. He was a gifted midfielder known for his dribbling skills and technical ability, and is strongly reputed to have been one of the finest European players of his generation. Sušić played for Yugoslavia in two FIFA World Cups, 1982 and 1990, and at UEFA Euro 1984. As a manager, he qualified the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team to the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Claude Lowitz (born 29 May 1962) is a French former professional football player and manager. As a player, he was a defender. Club career Lowitz played for ten different clubs during his career. Thierry Morin (born 12 December 1957) is a French former professional footballer who played as a defender. He works as the general secretary of the Association Paris Saint-Germain as of April 2022.
