Scandinavian Raceway
Anderstorp Raceway, previously known as Scandinavian Raceway, is a motorsport race track in Anderstorp (Gislaved Municipality), Sweden and the sole Nordic host of a Formula One World Championship Grand Prix, when the Swedish Grand Prix was held for six years between 1973 and 1978. Track history The track was built on marshlands in 1968 and became an extremely popular venue in the 1970s, just as Swede Ronnie Peterson was at the height of his career. It has a long straight (called ''Flight Straight'', which is also used as an aircraft runway), as well as several banked corners, making car setup an engineering compromise. Unusually, the pit lane is located halfway round the lap. The raceway hosted six Formula One Swedish Grand Prix events in the 1970s. When Peterson and Gunnar Nilsson died during the 1978 Formula One season, public support for the event dried up and the Swedish Grand Prix came to an end. Raymond Roche
Raymond Roche (born 21 February 1957 in Ollioules) is a French former professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. Motorcycle racing career In 1981, he teamed up with Jean Lafond to win the FIM Endurance World Championship. His best year in Grand Prix racing was in 1984 when he finished third in the 500cc world championship behind Eddie Lawson and Randy Mamola. After retiring from Grand Prix racing, he competed in the Superbike World Championship as a member of the Ducati factory racing team, winning that championship in , and finishing as runner-up in and . He is still only one of four native European riders from outside of the United Kingdom to have won the World Superbike Title. Simon Buckmaster
Simon Buckmaster (born 15 January 1961) is a British former professional Grand Prix motorcycle racer. He participated in 50 Grands Prix races between 1984 and 1992. His best season was in 1989 when he finished 12th in the Championship. Career Buckmaster made his first Grand Prix appearance at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in 1983, but failed to qualify. He returned in 1984 and successfully qualified for the race. Buckmaster became a Grand Prix regular in 1985. Riding a privateer Suzuki he made five starts but scored no championship points. In 1986 Buckmaster switched to Honda and competed in all of the races. His best finish was 15th place at the Dutch TT. Buckmaster continued to ride a Honda in 1987 season, starting in 12 races but failing to score any points. Buckmaster had a career-best season in 1989 when he finished 12th in the Championship. Boet van Dulmen (; 19 May 1948 – 16 September 2021) was a Dutch Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. Together with Wil Hartog and Jack Middelburg, he was part of a contingent of Dutch riders who competed at the highest levels of Grand Prix racing in the late 1970s. Van Dulmen was known for his skill of riding in wet weather. In 1979, he won his only 500cc race at the Finnish Grand Prix.
