Frédéric Harpagès
Frédéric Harpagès (born 14 November 1966) is a French former competitive figure skater. He is a three-time French national medalist (silver in 1987, bronze in 1986 and 1990) and finished in the top ten at two ISU Championships – 1983 Junior Worlds and 1987 Europeans in Sarajevo. Harpagès was coached by Robert Dureville. He fractured his right ankle during training in November 1987 and sustained another fracture in 1988, interrupting his competitive career for two years. He retired from competition in 1991. Denise Benning
Denise Benning (born September 1, 1967) is a Canadian former competitive pair skater. With her skating partner, Lyndon Johnston, she is the 1985 NHK Trophy bronze medalist, the 1985 Skate Canada International bronze medalist, the 1986 Skate America silver medalist, and a three-time Canadian national medalist (silver in 1986 and 1987, bronze in 1988). Marat Akbarov
Marat Akbarov (russian: Марат Фагимович Акбаров, born February 3, 1961) is a former competitive pair skater for the Soviet Union. With Veronica Pershina, he is the 1985 European bronze medalist and 1979 World Junior champion. Career Akbarov began skating in 1968 at the Lokomotiv Skating Club in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg) with coach Alexander Rogin. He teamed up with Veronica Pershina in 1975. The pair moved to Moscow in 1978 to train with Stanislav Zhuk. They won the World Junior title in 1979 ahead of Larisa Selezneva / Oleg Makarov. (''née'' Ozawa) is a Japanese figure skater who is now a coach. She won the 1983 Japan Figure Skating Championships and 1986 Winter Asian Games, 1985 Winter Universiade. Early career Osada showed much promise as a young skater in her mid-teen years. Patricia Neske (born 19 October 1966) is an American-born German former competitive figure skater. She represented Germany at the 1992 Winter Olympics, finishing 13th. She won a bronze medal at the European Championships in 1989 and 1992, and is the 1990 German national champion. Elizabeth Ann Manley, CM (born August 7, 1965) is a Canadian former competitive figure skater. She is the 1988 Olympic silver medallist, the 1988 World silver medalist and a three-time Canadian national champion. Early life and training Manley was born in 1965 in Trenton, Ontario, the fourth child and only daughter in her family. Her father's military career necessitated occasionally moving, and when Manley was nine years old, her family moved from Trenton to Ottawa. After her parents' divorce in the 1970s, she was raised by her mother, Joan. Competitive career Manley began skating at an early age.
