1985 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship
The 1985 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship (known at that time as 1985 European Championship for Cadets) was the 8th edition of the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship. The city of Ruse, in Bulgaria, hosted the tournament. Yugoslavia won the trophy for the fourth time and became the most winning country in the tournament. Slaviša Koprivica
Slaviša "Slavko" Koprivica ( sr-Cyrl, Славиша "Славко" Копривица, born 17 June 1968) is a retired Serbian professional basketball player. He played at both the power forward and center positions. Professional career While playing with Partizan Belgrade, Koprivica won the EuroLeague championship, in 1992. Personal life Koprivica's son Balša (born 2000), played high school basketball in the United States. Balša won the 2017 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship, and he was considered to be one of the top ten college recruits in the Class of 2019. Koprivica and Miroslav Pecarski played together on the junior Yugoslav national team, and they won a gold medal at the 1987 FIBA Under-19 World Cup. FIBA U16 European Championship
The FIBA U16 European Championship, previously known as the FIBA Europe Championship for Cadets, is a youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1971 edition. Through the 2003 edition, it was held every second year, but since the 2004 edition onward, it is held every year. It serves as the qualification tournament for the FIBA Under-17 World Cup in odd years, for the FIBA Europe region. The current champions are Lithuania. Svetislav Pešić
Svetislav "Kari" Pešić ( sr-cyrl, Светислав "Кари" Пешић; born August 28, 1949) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Serbia men's national team. Playing career During his club playing career, Pešić played with Pirot (1964–1967), Partizan (1967–1971), and Bosna (1971–1979). As a member of Bosna, he won a Yugoslav Cup and a Yugoslav League championship, in 1978. Also, he won the FIBA European Champions Cup (EuroLeague) championship in 1979 with Bosna. Radenko Dobraš (born January 31, 1968) is a Serbian former basketball player. He played the guard position. He was named to the 1993 Israeli Basketball Premier League Quintet. Biography Dobraš was born and grew up in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, then part of Yugoslavia. He is 6' 7" (201 cm) tall. He was a member of the Yugoslavian Junior National Basketball Team. Rade Milutinović ( sr-cyr, Раде Милутиновић; born January 28, 1968) is a Serbian former professional basketball player. College career Milutinović played college basketball for the San Diego-based U.S. International University. Playing career Milutinović had two stints for Crvena zvezda of the Yugoslav League. Nebojša "Neša" Ilić ( sr-cyr, Небојша "Неша" Илић; born 26 February 1968) is a Serbian basketball executive and former player. He is currently serving as the team manager for Crvena zvezda and the Serbia national basketball team. Playing career Crvena zvezda (1985–1993, 1995–1997) Ilić spent most of his professional career in his hometown-based team Crvena zvezda.
