Anglo-Welsh Cup
The Anglo-Welsh Cup (), was a cross-border rugby union knock-out cup competition that featured the 12 Premiership Rugby clubs and the four Welsh regions. It was a created as a replacement for the RFU Knockout Cup, which featured only English clubs. The competition was replaced by the Premiership Rugby Cup, involving only the 12 English Premiership clubs, beginning with the 2018–19 season. Richard Harding (rugby Player)
Richard Mark Harding (born 29 August 1953) is a former rugby union international who played for England, and on his last test captained them. He also played club rugby for his home city of Bristol and was part of Bristol RFC's cup winning side of 1983. After his sporting career he has concentrated on his profession as an estate agent and chartered surveyor. Early life Richard Harding was born in Bristol. He attended Millfield School from 1968 to 1971, where he became head of house at Shapwick Manor; his nickname there was "Gilbert". Jack Rowell
Jack Rowell OBE (born 1937) is an English rugby union coach and executive. He is the former coach of Bath and England. Rugby career Coaching Between 1978 and 1994 Rowell coached Bath during their ''golden era'', winning eight John Player/Pilkington Cups and five League Championships. Rowell was the coach of the England rugby team from 1995 to 1997. He took over from Geoff Cooke, announcing that England would give up the forward-dominated, risk-free strategies that had won so many Five Nations Championship titles in the past, instead adopting a 'running rugby' style. Nigel Charles Redman (born 16 August 1964) is a former professional rugby union player who played as a lock for Bath and the England national team. Born in Cardiff, Redman left school at the age of 15 to become an apprentice electrician. He began his rugby career aged 15 playing for Weston-super-Mare RFC. He made his England debut in November 1984 vs the Australia national rugby union team at Twickenham, losing 19-3. Richard Hill (born 4 May 1961 in Birmingham) is a rugby union coach and former English international rugby footballer. Biography Born in Birmingham, Hill was educated at Bishop Wordsworth's Grammar School in Salisbury, and Exeter University. Incidentally his namesake, Richard Hill MBE, who was in the England team to win the Rugby World Cup in 2003 also attended Bishop Wordsworth's School and both played for Salisbury Rugby Football Club. Early successes at Schools Level One of Richard's early successes in 1980 was winning the Wiltshire Schools U18 Sevens tournament with Salisbury's Boys Grammar school Bishop Wordsworth's defeating Swindon's St. Joseph's Comprehensive Roman Catholic School in a hard fought final at the Headlands School in Wiltshire.
