Liga Betcris de Honduras (''Honduran National Professional Football League'') is the highest division of football in Honduras. The league season is divided into Opening (autumn) and Closing (spring). One team is relegated to the Liga de Ascenso (the team with fewest points in Opening and Closing) and one team is promoted from Liga de Ascenso. The top four clubs participate in play-offs to decide the champion. The winners of the Opening and Closing competitions participate in the CONCACAF Champions League. Nahún Alberto Espinoza Zerón (born 14 August 1964) is a retired Honduran football player and football manager, who currently is in charge of Club Deportivo Olimpia. Mario Eugenio Dolmo Flores (born 31 July 1965 in Puerto Cortés) is a retired Honduran footballer. Club career Born in Puerto Cortés, Flores began his footballing career at local side Platense. He soon arrived to renowned Olimpia, where he would make his name later leaving for Santos Laguna. In November 2012 he was nominated to become a "Guerrero de Honor" (Warrior of Honour) of Santos. He also had a season in Peru with Universitario, where he played alongside compatriot César Obando, and in Costa Rica with Alajuelense. After a few seasons back in Honduras he retired after playing on 26 May 2001 for Broncos then moved abroad again to play in El Salvador with Isidro Metapán in the 2002 Clausura. Prudencio Norales Martínez (born 20 April 1956) is a retired Honduran football midfielder who played for Honduras in the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Club career Nicknamed ''Tecate'', Norales also played for Olimpia. He is one of the few players who scored four goals in a Honduran league game, against Atlético Portuario in October 1979. Héctor Ramón Zelaya Rivera (born 12 August 1958) is a retired Honduran football player. Club career Nicknamed ''Pecho de Águila'' (Eagle chest), he started as a forward but later played in defense or midfield for F.C. Motagua. He made his professional debut in the Honduran Liga Nacional on 7 March 1976 wearing the Motagua jersey in the 1–0 win against Campamento. Not to be confused with former Motagua teammate ''Héctor "Lin" Zelaya'', Zelaya also played for Spanish Segunda División side Deportivo de La Coruña but an injury to his left knee prevented him from making an impact and he had to retire in 1983. Amílcar Leonel Suazo is a retired Honduran association football forward who played professionally in Honduras and the United States. From 1982 to 1988, Suazo played for F.C. Motagua. Ramón Enrique Maradiaga Chávez (born 30 October 1954) is a retired Honduran football player and manager. Club career Nicknamed ''Primitivo'', Maradiaga has played as a midfielder amongst others for F.C. Motagua as well as Salvadoran giants Águila and Alianza. He also had half a season in Europe, playing 15 games in the Spanish Segunda División for Tenerife in 1984.
