1982 European Super Cup
The 1982 European Super Cup was contested between the UEFA Champions League, European Cup holders Aston Villa F.C., Aston Villa and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, Cup Winners' Cup holders FC Barcelona, Barcelona. The match took place over two legs in January 1983. The first leg was won by Barcelona 1–0 at the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona, but Aston Villa won 3–0 at Villa Park after extra time to take a 3–1 aggregate win. Marcos Alonso Peña (born 1 October 1959) is a Spanish retired football player and manager. Known simply as Marcos in his playing days, he played mainly as a right winger but appeared also as a forward. He amassed La Liga totals of 302 games and 46 goals over the course of 13 seasons, ten of which were spent with Atlético Madrid and Barcelona (five apiece). A Spanish international during the 1980s, Marcos represented the nation at Euro 1984, helping it finish second. Club career Marcos was born in Santander, Cantabria. Àngel "Pichi" Alonso Herrera (born 17 December 1954) is a Spanish retired football striker and manager. A player with a prolific scoring rate, though he never won the Pichichi Trophy, he represented, amongst others, both Barcelona major clubs during his career. He amassed La Liga totals of 261 games and 107 goals over the course of 11 seasons and won five major titles, all with FC Barcelona. Urbano Ortega
Urbano Ortega Cuadros (born 22 December 1961), known simply as Urbano, is a Spanish former footballer who played as a midfielder. Over the course of 16 La Liga seasons (18 for his career), he amassed totals of 301 games and 16 goals, mainly for Espanyol and Barcelona. Club career Urbano was born in Beas de Segura, Province of Jaén. After starting out at Real Jaén and RCD Español, he signed with Catalonia neighbours FC Barcelona in 1982. Francisco José Carrasco Hidalgo (born 6 March 1959) is a Spanish retired football player and manager. Nicknamed Lobo, he played as a winger spending most of his 14-year professional career with Barcelona (11 seasons). An all-around midfield unit, he was best known for his great physical strength that helped him tire his opponents in the early stages of the match. Enrique Castro González (; 23 September 1949 – 27 February 2018), known as Quini , was a Spanish footballer who played as a striker. In a career totally connected with Sporting de Gijón and FC Barcelona, he was widely regarded as one of the country's best strikers, having won a total of seven Pichichi Trophy awards, five of those in La Liga. Bernd Schuster
Bernd Schuster (born 22 December 1959) is a German former professional footballer of the late 1970s through early 1990s, who won club titles playing for the Spanish sides FC Barcelona (1980–1987) and Real Madrid (1988–1990). José Ramón Alexanko Ventosa (; born 19 May 1956) is a Spanish retired footballer and manager, who later served as director of football of Valencia CF.
