1981–82 Bayernliga
The 1981–82 season of the Bayernliga, the third tier of the German football league system in the state of Bavaria at the time, was the 37th season of the league. Overview The league champions, FC Augsburg, were promoted to the 2. Bundesliga after successfully competing in the promotion round. For Augsburg it was their third Bayernliga title after 1972–73 and 1979–80. Runners-up FC Schweinfurt 05 qualified for the German amateur championship, where the club lost to Hertha Zehlendorf in the first round. The bottom five clubs were directly relegated from the league while 15th placed SC Fürstenfeldbruck had to enter the relegation round with the Landesliga runners-up where it lost to SpVgg Landshut in the first round. Fürstenfeldbruck returned to the Bayernliga in 1985 while, of the other relegated clubs, ATS Kulmbach never played in the Bayernliga again. Bayernliga
The Bayernliga (English: Bavarian league) is the highest amateur football league and the second highest football league (under the Regionalliga Bayern) in the state of Bavaria (german: Bayern) and the Bavarian football league system. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fourth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the third tier. From the 2012–13 season onwards, the league has been divided once more into a northern and a southern division, having previously placed in single division format since 1963. The league sits directly under the Regionalliga Bayern and above the Landesligas, which were expanded in number from three to five at the end of the 2011–12 season. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. History This enterprise, according to its founders, was created in January 1994 by three regulars of the Rec.Sport.Soccer (RSS) Usenet newsgroup: Lars Aarhus, Kent Hedlundh, and Karel Stokkermans. It was originally known as the "North European Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation", but the geographical reference was dropped as its membership from other regions grew. FC Bayern Munich II
FC Bayern Munich II (''FC Bayern Munich Amateure'' until 2005) are the reserve team of German association football club FC Bayern Munich, they currently play in the Regionalliga Bayern. In 2010–11 they played in the 3. Liga, having qualified for its inaugural season in 2008, and have consistently played at the third level of German football (the highest permissible level for reserve teams) – they played in the Regionalliga Süd from its formation in 1994 to 2008, when it was usurped by the 3. Liga. They have generally achieved at least mid-table finishes at this level, and won the Regionalliga Süd title in 2004. In 2010–11 Bayern II finished last in the 3. VfL Frohnlach is a German association football club from the municipality of Frohnlach in Ebersdorf bei Coburg, Bavaria. __TOC__ History The club was established as ''Sports Club Arminia Frohnlach'' in 1919 and, after a 1925 merger with ''Turnverein Frohnlach'', became ''Verein für Leibesübungen 1919 e. FC Memmingen is a German association football club based in Memmingen, Bavaria. History The team was formed on 30 May 1907 as the football department of the gymnastics club ''Memminger Turnvereins 1859'' and became independent in the fall of that year. VfB Helmbrechts
The VfB Helmbrechts is a German association football club from the city of Helmbrechts, Bavaria. The club's most notable era was when it was playing in the 2nd Oberliga Süd, then the second tier of the German football league system, from 1955 to 1963. History 1921 to 1945 The club was formed on 3 March 1921, and played its first game of football one month later. ''VfB'' did not have a proper ground until 1924 and competitive matches were rare in the early years. It won the local C-Klasse championship that year and earned promotion to the B-Klasse. MTV Ingolstadt
The Männer-Turn-Verein von 1881 Ingolstadt or ''Men's Gymnastics Club of 1881 Ingolstadt'' is a general sports club in Ingolstadt, Bavaria. It was founded on 18 July 1881. Until 2004, the club operated a football department but after a merger with local rival ESV Ingolstadt to form FC Ingolstadt 04 the footballers left for the new club. After a break of a number of years, MTV has returned to competitive football, restarting at the lowest possible level, the C-Klasse, in 2009. The Landesliga Bayern sits at step 6 of the German football league system and is the third highest level in the Bavarian football league system, below the Bayernliga and organised in five regional divisions. The current Landesligas were formed in 1963, when the Bundesliga was established. From 2012, when the Regionalliga Bayern was established, the Landesligas were expanded from three to five divisions. TSV Schwaben Augsburg is a German football club which is part of a larger sports association whose origins go back to the 1847 formation of the gymnastics club Turnverein Augsburg. The association's football department was formed in 1907 and after 29 March 1919 played as Schwaben Augsburg. __TOC__ History Local bylaws required the formation of a fire brigade and in 1848 the members of TV also formed the Augsburger Freiwillige Feuerwehr. FC Vilshofen
The FC Vilshofen is a German association football club from the town of Vilshofen an der Donau, Bavaria. The club's most successful era was from 1978 to 1985, when it spent six seasons in the tier three Fußball-Bayernliga, with a ninth place in this league as its best result. The club also reached the first round of the German Cup in 1979–80, where it lost 2–3 to FV Würzburg 04 after extra time.
