1981 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships
The 1981 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships were held in Bala, Wales, Great Britain under the auspices of International Canoe Federation. It was the 17th edition. The mixed C2 event was reinstated after not being held at the previous championships. Bala, Gwynedd
Bala ( cy, Y Bala) is a town and community in Gwynedd, Wales. Formerly an urban district, Bala lies in the historic county of Merionethshire, at the north end of Bala Lake ( cy, Llyn Tegid). Alistair Munro born 24, September 1958 in Greenock, Scotland is a retired international sports person. He was a competitive slalom canoeist before turning to coaching and sports reporting. Canoeing Formerly a British slalom canoeist who competed in the 1970s and 1980s in all disciplines of the sport.
