1980–81 S.L. Benfica Season
The 1980–81 season was Sport Lisboa e Benfica's 77th season in existence and the club's 47th consecutive season in the top flight of Portuguese football, covering the period from 1 July 1980 to 30 June 1981. Benfica competed domestically in the Primeira Divisão, Taça de Portugal and the Supertaça de Portugal, and participated in the Cup Winners' Cup after winning the Taça de Portugal in the previous season. In the new season, Mário Wilson was replaced by Lajos Baróti. In the transfer season, major signings included António Veloso, Francisco Vital and João Alves, who returned to the club. José Ferreira Queimado
José Ferreira Queimado (23 December 1913 – 23 December 2007) was the 25th president of Portuguese sports club S.L. Benfica. Born in Olhalvo, Ferreira Queimado served as president of Benfica on two occasions: between 17 June 1966 and 3 July 1967, and between 26 May 1977 and 29 May 1981. Mário Wilson
Mário Wilson (; 17 October 1929 – 3 October 2016) was a Portuguese football central defender and manager. He appeared in 286 Primeira Liga matches over 14 seasons, mainly in representation of Académica. He also played for Desportivo de Lourenço Marques and Sporting CP. Subsequently, Wilson embarked in a lengthy managerial career in the country, which lasted more than 30 years and also included two spells at his main club, and a record five at Benfica. FC Carl Zeiss Jena is a German football club based in Jena, Thuringia.
