Brentford is a suburban town in West London, England and part of the London Borough of Hounslow. It lies at the confluence of the River Brent and the Thames, west of Charing Cross. Football League Fourth Division
The Football League Fourth Division was the fourth-highest division in the English football league system from the 1958–59 season until the creation of the Premier League prior to the 1992–93 season. Lee Holmes (footballer, Born 1955)
Lee John Holmes (born 28 September 1955) is an English retired football forward who played in the Football League for Brentford. He later played in the highest levels of non-league football for Enfield, Wealdstone and Dagenham. Career Early years A forward, Holmes began his career in the academy at First Division club West Ham United. He was released without making a senior appearance and dropped into non-league football to sign for Athenian League club Haringey Borough, with whom he remained until August 1979. Brentford Holmes got his chance in league football when he signed for Third Division club Brentford on a part-time contract in August 1979. He scored on his debut in a League Cup first round defeat to Southend United and went on to score seven goals in 30 appearances during the 1979–80 season. Steven Edward Phillips (born 4 August 1954) is an English former professional footballer who had a long career as a forward for a number of teams in the Football League in the 1970s and 1980s. He scored 200 goals from 562 league appearances. Club career Phillips was born in Edmonton, London. He began his football career as an apprentice with Birmingham City, turning professional in August 1971. Barry Silkman
Barry Silkman (born 29 June 1952) is a football agent and former player, who played in midfield for 11 clubs including at Manchester City in 1979 and at Leyton Orient from 1981 to 1985. He competed for 16 years. In total, he made 340 professional appearances, and scored 31 goals. In the 1990s he became an agent. ''Metro'' named him as the 10th-most influential agent in football in 2013. Terry Hurlock
Terence Alan Hurlock (born 22 September 1958) is an English former professional footballer who played as a central midfielder. Over the course of a 15-year career in the Football League, he had notable spells with Brentford and Millwall. He won England B international caps while with Millwall and is a member of the club's Hall of Fame. Trevor James Porter (born 16 October 1956) is an English retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper in the Football League for Brentford. Allan Glover
Allan Richard Glover (born 21 October 1950) is an English retired professional footballer, best remembered for his eight years in the Football League with West Bromwich Albion. An inside forward and winger, he also played for Orient, Brentford, Queens Park Rangers and Southend United. Club career Queens Park Rangers Glover began his career at Queens Park Rangers and made seven appearances during a disastrous 1968–69 season, which saw Rangers relegated from the First Division. Doug Allder
Douglas Stewart Allder (born 30 December 1951 in Hammersmith, London) is an English former professional footballer who made over 200 appearances in the Football League for Millwall as a left winger. He was capped by England at youth level and is a member of the Millwall Hall of Fame. Playing career Millwall Allder began his career with Second Division club Millwall and signed apprentice terms in April 1968 for £4 a week.
