Margrethe II (; Margrethe Alexandrine Þórhildur Ingrid, born 16 April 1940) is Queen of Denmark. Having reigned as Denmark's monarch for over 50 years, she is Europe's longest-serving current head of state and the world's only incumbent female monarch following the death of Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. Born into the House of Glücksburg, a cadet branch of the House of Oldenburg, Margrethe is the eldest child of Frederick IX of Denmark and Ingrid of Sweden. She became heir presumptive to her father in 1953, when a constitutional amendment allowed women to inherit the throne. Margrethe succeeded her father upon his death on 14 January 1972. On her accession, she became the first female monarch of Denmark since Margrethe I, ruler of the Scandinavian kingdoms in 1375–1412 during the Kalmar Union. Peter Løvenkrands
Peter Rosenkrands Løvenkrands (born 29 January 1980) is a Danish professional football manager and former player. He played mainly as a striker or as a left winger, and was known for his pace. Løvenkrands began his career in his native Denmark, winning the 1999 Danish Cup with Akademisk Boldklub. He then moved to Scottish club Rangers where he played for six years and won seven major honours, including two Scottish Premier League titles. He signed for German team Schalke 04 in 2006, but eventually fell out of favour during his last season there, and transferred to Premier League side Newcastle United in the winter of 2008. After three-and-a-half seasons he moved to Birmingham City, who released him at the end of the 2013–14 season and he subsequently retired. He won the 1998 Danish Under-19 Player of the Year award. Jerry Ruben Lucena (born 11 August 1980) is a retired Filipino footballer and currently the manager of the U19 squad of Esbjerg fB. He has represented the Philippines national football team at international level, having previously featured in the Denmark U-21 and Denmark League XI international teams. Club career Lucena started playing for the youth side of Danish football club Esbjerg fB. In 1999, he made his professional debut for Esbjerg in the Danish 1st Division, the second highest football league in the country. Esbjerg won promotion to the top-flight Danish Superliga in 2001. Mathias Boe
Mathias Boe (born 11 July 1980) is a badminton player from Denmark. He was the gold medalist at the 2015 European Games, two time European champions winning in 2012 and 2017, and the silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China. Career He won the silver medal at the 2006 European Championships in men's doubles with Carsten Mogensen. In 2010, Mogensen and Boe won the titles at the Denmark and French Opens and also the Superseries Final held in Taipei. One year later Mogensen and Boe won the All England Open. Morten Skoubo (; born 30 June 1980) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a forward. He made six appearances for the Denmark national team scoring once. Career FC Midtjylland Born in Holstebro, Skoubo played for a number of lower league clubs. He played eight games and scored three goals for the Danish under-21 national team. Skoubo's breakthrough came in the Danish Superliga club FC Midtjylland, when he scored 19 goals in 27 games during the 2001–02 season. Martin Retov
Martin Retov (; born 5 May 1980) is a Danish football coach and former player. He works as the assistant coach of Brøndby IF. He has played more than 200 games for Brøndby IF. Retov began his career at Køge Boldklub, joining their youth team in 1996 and making his first-team debut in 1999. He experienced promotion to the Danish Superliga in the 2001–02 season, and after making 89 league appearances for Køge he moved to Brøndby IF. He played an influential role at the club for six seasons and was a key member of the team that won the domestic double in 2004–05 and three Danish Cups. Martin Albrechtsen (born 31 March 1980) is a Danish football player. He can play in any position across the back four and has played four games for the Danish national team. Rasmus Seebach (; born 28 March 1980) is a Danish singer-songwriter and record producer who had his solo-debut with the Danish-language single "Engel" ( en, "Angel") in April 2009. Seebach has written and produced songs for Danish and international artists since the late 1990s. Together with his brother, Nicolai Seebach, he runs the production company Top Notch Music. The two wrote the music for the charity song "Hvor små vi er" ( en, "How small we are") for the victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.
