1980 New Orleans Saints Season
The 1980 New Orleans Saints season was the team's 14th as a member of the National Football League (NFL). The Saints failed to improve on the previous season's output of 8–8, winning only one game. The team missed the playoffs for the fourteenth consecutive season and had the dubious distinction not only of winning only a single game, but winning it by a single point against the similarly struggling New York Jets, who like the Saints had widely been predicted before the season to advance to their first playoff appearance in team history. The main culprit of the collapse was the defense, ranking last in yards and points (487) allowed. The team's only bright spot was tenth-year quarterback Archie Manning who proceeded to have the best year of his career throwing for 3,716 yards, 23 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. NFC West
The National Football Conference - Western Division or NFC West is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It currently has four members: the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks. The division was formed in 1967 as the National Football League Coastal Division, keeping with the theme of having all of the league's divisions starting with the letter "C." The division was so named because its teams were fairly close to the coasts of the United States, although they were on opposite coasts, making for long travel between division rivals. Lenvil Elliott
Lenvil Elliott (September 2, 1951 – October 12, 2008) was a professional American football player who played running back for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He was a part of the San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl XVI winning team. Early life Elliot was born in Lexington, Missouri to Lenvil Nelson and Helen Constance (Williams) Elliott. He grew up in Richmond, Missouri and was a 1969 graduate of Richmond High School, where he participated in both football and track. 1991 Indianapolis Colts Season
The 1991 Indianapolis Colts season was the 39th season for the team in the National Football League (NFL) and eighth in Indianapolis. The team was looking to improve on the 7–9 record they had recorded in 1990. Instead, the Colts put together a campaign that ranked as one of the worst in NFL history. The Colts only recorded one victory in sixteen games, becoming the fourth team since the extension of the NFL's regular season to sixteen games to accomplish this. To date it is their worst full season record in the entire history of the franchise, and the second worst overall record in team history. 1990 New England Patriots Season
The 1990 New England Patriots season was the team's 31st, and 21st in the National Football League (NFL). It was the first for head coach Rod Rust, who was looking to improve on the 5-11 mark from the year before that cost Raymond Berry, who had led the Patriots to the playoffs twice in his tenure, his job. The Patriots instead finished the season with a record of 1–15, the worst record in franchise history. They finished last in the AFC East Division and dead last in the NFL. The 2013 Houston Texans season was the franchise's 12th season in the National Football League. Tony Galbreath
Tony Dale Galbreath (born January 29, 1954) is a former American football running back in the National Football League (NFL) for the New Orleans Saints, the Minnesota Vikings, and the New York Giants. He played college football at the University of Missouri and was drafted in the second round of the 1976 NFL Draft. Galbreath was an All-Big Eight running back for the Missouri Tigers in 1974. He was elected team captain for the 1975 season and still ranks among the Tigers' all-time leading rushers, despite the fact that he played just two years of football after transferring from Indian Hill (Iowa) Junior College. Wind chill or windchill (popularly wind chill factor) is the lowering of body temperature due to the passing-flow of lower-temperature air. Wind chill numbers are always lower than the air temperature for values where the formula is valid. When the apparent temperature is higher than the air temperature, the heat index is used instead. The 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season was the franchise's first season in the National Football League (NFL). The Buccaneers' played their home games at Tampa Stadium and their inaugural head coach was John McKay. 1992 Houston Oilers Season
The 1992 Houston Oilers season was the team's 33rd season and their 23rd in the National Football League (NFL). The Oilers reached the playoffs for the 6th consecutive season, which was the longest such streak in the NFL at the time.
