Hugo Porta
Hugo Porta (born 11 September 1951) is a former Argentine Rugby Union footballer, an inductee of both the International Rugby Hall of Fame and IRB Hall of Fame, and one of the best fly-halves the sport has seen. During the 1970s and 1980s, he played 58 times for ''Los Pumas'', captaining them on 34 occasions, including leading them during the first World Cup in 1987. Porta made his international debut in 1971. His best performances came in the late 1970s and early 1980s, with 1977 draw with France, the Pumas' 1979 24–13 win against Australia, and a 21–21 tie with the All Blacks on 2 November 1985. In December 2018, Porta was elected as president of Argentine sports club Banco Nación, where he spent his entire career as player. Career Porta was born in Buenos Aires. The New Zealand national rugby union team, commonly known as the All Blacks ( mi, Ōpango), represents New Zealand in men's international rugby union, which is considered the country's national sport. David Steven Loveridge (born 22 April 1952) is an All Black of the late 1970s and early 1980s, known in his time as the greatest halfback in the world. Life and career Loveridge was born in 1952, in Stratford, New Zealand, to Horace and Margaret Loveridge. He grew up during the golden age of Taranaki rugby, with the provincial side holding the Ranfurly Shield for two tenures in 1957–1959, and 1963–1965. He played age-grade representative rugby for Taranaki at the age of 12. The Loveridge family owned a pig farm in Tariki south of Inglewood, and Loveridge attended Inglewood High School for his secondary education. He worked for a bank after leaving school, and in 1972 the bank transferred him to Auckland. Marcelo Campo (1 July 1957 – 26 June 2021) was an Argentine rugby union player. He played as a wing. Career Campo played for Old Georgians, from Quilmes. With said club, he was in the international rugby scene. The first time he wore Argentina's jersey was in a match against England XV at Twickenham, even if it was not formally a test match, which was in the second match, at Rovigo, against Italy, on 24 October 1978. However, that match at London, which ended 13-13, saw Campo going to the try line in such a spectacular manner. The event is remembered until the present day, as it was the first time that an Argentina national rugby union team played against an English counterpart, in away field. Rafael M. Madero (born Buenos Aires, 16 July 1958) is an Argentine former rugby union player and coach. He played as a Fullback. Centre and Fly-half. Career Starting his career in the SIC, Madero played for the team until 1990; as a wing, centre, and rarely as fly-half, he won eight URBA titles from 1977 to 1988. Marcelo Loffreda
Marcelo Loffreda (born May 17, 1959, in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an Argentine former rugby union footballer and coach. Loffreda won 44 caps with one as captain, playing at centre for the Argentine rugby union side (''los Pumas''). He played much of his career outside the legendary Hugo Porta and scored 4 test tries. In 1994 he hung up his playing boots and became a coach. In April 2000, he was appointed coach of Argentina and steered them to series victories over France, Wales and Scotland, a draw with the British and Irish Lions, a win against England at Twickenham in November 2006 as well as coming close to securing the Pumas' first victories over South Africa and New Zealand.
