The Men's 1978 World Amateur Boxing Championships were held in Belgrade, Yugoslavia from May 6 to 20. The second edition of this competition, held two years before the Summer Olympics in Moscow, Soviet Union was organised by the world governing body for amateur boxing AIBA. Ishi Koki
Ishi ( – March 25, 1916) was the last known member of the Native American Yahi people from the present-day state of California in the United States. The rest of the Yahi (as well as many members of their parent tribe, the Yana) were killed in the California genocide in the 19th century. Ishi, who was widely acclaimed as the "last wild Indian" in the United States, lived most of his life isolated from modern North American culture. In 1911, aged 50, he emerged at a barn and corral, from downtown Oroville, California. ''Ishi'', which means "man" in the Yana language, is an adopted name. René Weller
René Weller (21 November 1953 – 22 August 2023) was a German boxer. Vladimir Georgiyevich Sorokin (russian: link=no, Влади́мир Гео́ргиевич Соро́кин; born 7 August 1955) is a contemporary postmodern Russian writer and dramatist. He has been described as one of the most popular writers in modern Russian literature. Biography Sorokin was born on 7 August 1955 in Bykovo, Ramensky District, Moscow Oblast. Antonio Esparragoza Betancourt (born 2 September 1959) is a Venezuelan former boxer who is a former WBA Featherweight Champion of the World. Amateur career Esparragoza represented Venezuela as a Featherweight at the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.
