The Florida–LSU football rivalry, also known as the Swamp Bowl, is an American college football college rivalry, rivalry between the Florida Gators football team of the University of Florida and LSU Tigers football team of Louisiana State University. Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium has been the home stadium of the Jackson State Tigers football team since 1970. Legion Field is an outdoor stadium in the southeastern United States in Birmingham, Alabama, primarily designed to be used as a venue for American football, but occasionally used for other large outdoor events. Opened in 1927, it is named in honor of the American Legion, a U.S. organization of military veterans. The Magnolia Bowl is name given to the LSU–Ole Miss football rivalry. It is an American college football rivalry game played annually by the LSU Tigers football team of Louisiana State University (LSU) and the Ole Miss Rebels football team of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). The team was led by head coach Steve Sloan, in his first year, and they played their home games at Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi and Mississippi Memorial Stadium in Jackson, Mississippi.
