ﾃ］gel Guastella (Buenos Aires, 7 November 1931 - San Miguel de Tucumﾃ｡n, 26 September 2016) was an Argentine rugby union footballer and coach. He played as fly-half. Biography Guastella was a founding member of Club Pueyrredﾃｳn, of which he was a player for 10 years and then, a coach. In 2000, Guastella moved to San Miguel de Tucumﾃ｡n, where he spent his last years of life, being chairman of Tucumﾃ｡n Lawn Tennis Club and of Uniﾃｳn de Rugby de Tucumﾃ｡n. Career Guastella was an Argentine international with the Pumas between 1956 and 1960. He was first capped during a match against an Oxford and Cambridge XV in Buenos Aires, on 16 September 1956. His last cap was during the test against France, in Buenos Aires, on 6 August 1960. In his international career, Guastella played 4 matches and scored 1 penalty and 6 points in aggregate. Club de Rugby Los Tilos is an Argentine rugby union club based in the city of Tolosa in La Plata Partido, Buenos Aires Province. The team currently plays in Top 12, the first division of the URBA league system. History In 1944, the city of La Plata had two rugby clubs: Universitario and La Plata; disabused players of the former seceded and went on to found the ''Club de Rugby Los Tilos'' on January 29, 1944. The name "Los Tilos" was chosen to honour the city's nickname. La Plata is often called "the city of linden tree" because of the large number of that species lining many streets and squares. Originally sharing the city's university installations, the club moved to its current location in Barrio Obrero at the beginning of the 1950s. Hﾃｩctor Luis Silva (1 July 1945 – 17 May 2021) was an Argentine rugby union footballer and coach, who coached Argentina in the 1987 Rugby World Cup. Biography Between 14 and 18 years, he played rugby and basketball; he practiced rugby in the youth team of his city, Rugby Club Los Tilos from La Plata, and at 18 years he was in the first team; at 20 years, in 1965, he debuted for Argentina in a test match against the Junior Springboks in South Africa, during a tour which saw 11 wins in 16 matches. Becoming captain for Argentina in 1967, he was excluded from the national team in 1971 due to Silva accepting to appear in a television advertisement; even if he was not formally suspended, he was not called up until 1977. Tala Rugby Club, or simply Tala, is an Argentine rugby union and field hockey club sited in Cﾃｳrdoba Province. The rugby team currently plays in the Torneo de Cﾃｳrdoba, the first division of the Uniﾃｳn Cordobesa de Rugby league system. Tala is the most winning club of Cﾃｳrdoba, with 23 titles to date. History "Tala Rugby Club" was founded in Cﾃｳrdoba on November 11, 1944, by rugby enthusiasts from the General Paz, Juniors and Alta Cﾃｳrdoba districts. La Tablada Rugby Club is a rugby union and field hockey club based in the city of Cﾃｳrdoba, Argentina. Founded in 1943 as a social institution, La Tablada started its sports activities in the 1950s. History First named "El Club de la Parroquia de La Tablada" it was originally a social club founded by members of La Tablada parish in Cﾃｳrdoba. Duendes Rugby Club is an Argentine rugby union and field hockey club sited in Rosario, Santa Fe. The rugby team currently plays at Torneo del Litoral, the first division of the Uniﾃｳn de Rugby de Rosario (URR) league system.
