Club de Rugby Los Tilos is an Argentine rugby union club based in the city of Tolosa in La Plata Partido, Buenos Aires Province. The team currently plays in Top 12, the first division of the URBA league system. History In 1944, the city of La Plata had two rugby clubs: Universitario and La Plata; disabused players of the former seceded and went on to found the ''Club de Rugby Los Tilos'' on January 29, 1944. The name "Los Tilos" was chosen to honour the city's nickname. La Plata is often called "the city of linden tree" because of the large number of that species lining many streets and squares. Originally sharing the city's university installations, the club moved to its current location in Barrio Obrero at the beginning of the 1950s. Hテゥctor Luis Silva (1 July 1945 – 17 May 2021) was an Argentine rugby union footballer and coach, who coached Argentina in the 1987 Rugby World Cup. Biography Between 14 and 18 years, he played rugby and basketball; he practiced rugby in the youth team of his city, Rugby Club Los Tilos from La Plata, and at 18 years he was in the first team; at 20 years, in 1965, he debuted for Argentina in a test match against the Junior Springboks in South Africa, during a tour which saw 11 wins in 16 matches. Tala Rugby Club, or simply Tala, is an Argentine rugby union and field hockey club sited in Cテウrdoba Province. The rugby team currently plays in the Torneo de Cテウrdoba, the first division of the Uniテウn Cordobesa de Rugby league system. Tala is the most winning club of Cテウrdoba, with 23 titles to date. La Tablada Rugby Club is a rugby union and field hockey club based in the city of Cテウrdoba, Argentina. Founded in 1943 as a social institution, La Tablada started its sports activities in the 1950s. History First named "El Club de la Parroquia de La Tablada" it was originally a social club founded by members of La Tablada parish in Cテウrdoba. Some members of this club were already playing rugby for Cテウrdoba Athletic and decided to form their own team. In 1954, ''Bamba Rugby Club'' was founded in the Vテゥlez Sarsfield district of Cテウrdoba and played its first game against Cテウrdoba Athletic. Duendes Rugby Club is an Argentine rugby union and field hockey club sited in Rosario, Santa Fe. The rugby team currently plays at Torneo del Litoral, the first division of the Uniテウn de Rugby de Rosario (URR) league system.
