The 1977 FIBA Intercontinental Cup William Jones was the 11th edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup for men's basketball clubs. It took place at Madrid. From the FIBA European Champions Cup participated Real Madrid as host club and title holder, Mobilgirgi Varèse, and Maccabi Elite as European Champions. From the South American Club Championship participated Atlética Francana. FIBA Intercontinental Cup
The FIBA Intercontinental Cup, also commonly referred to as the FIBA World Cup for Champion Clubs, or the FIBA Club World Cup, is a professional basketball clubs competition that is endorsed by FIBA and the NBA. Historically, its purpose has been to gather the premier basketball clubs from each of the world's geographical zones, and to officially decide the best basketball club of the world, which is officially crowned as the world club champion. The World Cup for Clubs has been contended mainly by the champions of the continents and/or world geographical regions that are of the highest basketball levels. Arturo Guerrero Moreno (born 30 August 1948) is a Mexican former basketball player and coach. With Mexico's senior national team, he played at two Summer Olympic Games (1968 and 1976). Due to his shooting ability, he was nicknamed "Mano Santa" ("Holy Hand"). Along with Carlos Quintanar and Manolo Raga, he is generally considered to be one of the two best Mexican basketball players of all time. Paul George McCracken (born September 11, 1950) is an American former professional basketball player. McCracken, who was and , played guard. Early life McCracken was born in New York, New York. Aulcie Perry ( he, אולסי פרי) (born July 3, 1950) is a retired American-Israeli professional basketball player. He helped Maccabi Tel Aviv win two EuroLeague championships, during his nine seasons with the team. During his playing career, he was listed at 2.08 m (6'10") tall, and 98 kg (215 lbs.) in weight, and he played at the center position. In 1987, Perry was convicted of drug-smuggling. Robert Duncan Morse (born January 4, 1951) is an American former professional basketball player. He was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1991. In 2008, Morse was chosen as one of the 50 most influential personalities in European club basketball, over the previous half-century. High school Morse attended Kennett High School, in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, where he played high school basketball. He was a prolific scorer for the Pennsylvania high school. Juan Antonio Corbalán Alfocea (born August 3, 1954) is a Spanish retired professional basketball player. The 6 ft. in. (1.84 m) tall. Corbalán was one of the best European point guards of the 1980s.
