1977 Cannes Film Festival
The 30th Cannes Film Festival was held from 13 to 27 May 1977 in film, 1977. The Palme d'Or went to the ''Padre Padrone'' by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani. A new non-competitive section, "Le Passé composé", is held at this festival only and focuses on compilations. This section, along with sections "Les Yeux fertiles" and "L'Air du temps" of the previous two years, were integrated into Un Certain Regard in 1978. The festival opened with ''The Bishop's Bedroom'', directed by Dino Risi and closed with ''Slap Shot (film), Slap Shot'', directed by George Roy Hill. Wojciech Siudmak
Wojciech Kazimierz "Wojtek" Siudmak (born 10 October 1942 in Wieluń) is a Polish painter, currently living in France. He was a student at Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. His works are often used as illustrations for science fiction and fantasy literature, including the Polish edition of Frank Herbert's '' Dune'' series. He is also known for his work on album covers, including the award-winning cover for Eloy's 1977 album ''Ocean''. Siudmak painted in 1985 a picture ''Ethernal Love'', he continues the subject e.g. in the form of monuments. Anatole Dauman
Anatole Dauman (7 February 1925 in Warsaw – 8 April 1998 in Paris) was a French film producer. He produced films by Jean-Luc Godard, Robert Bresson, Wim Wenders, Nagisa Oshima, Andrei Tarkovsky, Chris Marker, Volker Schlöndorff, Walerian Borowczyk, and Alain Resnais. He was a principal figure in Argos Films, a company that was a very important vehicle in creating opportunities for the "Left bank" filmmakers to emerge from the overall Nouvelle Vague. Yuri Ozerov (russian: Ю́рий Никола́евич О́зеров; 26 January 1921 – 16 October 2001) was a Soviet film director and screenwriter. He directed twenty films between 1950 and 1995.
