1975–76 Cypriot Third Division
The 1975–76 Cypriot Third Division was the fifth season of the Cypriot third-level football league. Ermis Aradippou FC won their 1st title. Format Eight teams participated in the 1975–76 Cypriot Third Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first team was promoted to 1976–77 Cypriot Second Division. Cypriot Third Division
The Cypriot Third Division (Greek: Πρωτάθλημα Γ΄ Κατηγορίας) is the third tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league are promoted to the Cypriot Second Division, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to the STOK Elite Division. History The Cypriot Third Division was held for the first time in the 1970–71 season as the third level of the Cypriot football. All the teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. Doxa Katokopias FC
Doxa Katokopias FC ( el, Δόξα Κατωκοπιάς) is a Cypriot football team from Katokopia in the Nicosia District. Since the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, Katokopia is under Turkish occupation, and the club moved to Peristerona, which is near Katokopia. The solid Era squads Doxa, from 2011 onwards became famous for the solid squad players, the majority of whom are Portuguese from the lower divisions, that the club president "Karavidas" locates and the team employs, to face strong opponents and therefore obtains the respect of the CFA community due to the decent results. 1975–76 Cypriot Cup
The 1975–76 Cypriot Cup was the 34th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 35 clubs entered the competition. It began on 8 May 1976 with the preliminary round and concluded on 27 June 1976 with the final which was held at Tsirio Stadium. APOEL won their 9th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Alki Larnaca 6–0 in the final. Format In the 1975–76 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division, the Cypriot Second Division and the Cypriot Third Division. The competition consisted of six knock-out rounds. In all rounds each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of the one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Ermis Aradippou () is a Cypriot professional football club based in Aradippou, a settlement on the outskirts of the city of Larnaca. The club was formed in 1958, and currently plays in the Cypriot Second Division. Ermis' greatest success came in 2014, when they won the Super Cup. Ermis have a long-standing rivalry with their neighbouring club Omonia Aradippou.
