The 1975 European Figure Skating Championships was a senior-level international competition held in Copenhagen, Denmark from January 28 to February 2. Elite senior-level figure skaters from European ISU member nations competed for the title of European Champion in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing Ice dance (sometimes referred to as ice dancing) is a discipline of figure skating that historically draws from ballroom dancing. John Curry
John Anthony Curry, (9 September 1949 – 15 April 1994) was a British Figure skating, figure skater. He was the 1976 1976 European Figure Skating Championships, European, Figure skating at the 1976 Winter Olympics, Olympic and World Figure Skating Championships, World Champion. He was noted for combining ballet and modern dance influences into his skating. Early life Curry was born on 9 September 1949 in Birmingham, England. He had two older brothers. He was educated at Solihull School, an Independent school (UK), independent school in the West Midlands (county), West Midlands and prior to this, at St Andrews, an independent boarding school in Somerset. As a child, Curry wanted to become a dancer, but his father disapproved of dance as an activity for boys. Jacek Tascher
Jacek Tascher (born in 1957 in Bydgoszcz) is a Polish former competitive figure skater. In the 1970s, he became a two-time national champion in men's singles and a two-time national silver medalist in ice dancing. He competed at six ISU Championships. Career Tascher began skating at Polonia Bydgoszcz when he was 4½ years old. In 1973 and 1975 he won the Polish national title in men's singles. He was sent to two World and two European Championships; his best result was 15th at the 1975 Europeans in Copenhagen. In 1977, Tascher switched to ice dancing, forming a partnership with Halina Gordon-Półtorak. They became two-time national silver medalists and placed 12th at the 1978 and 1979 European Championships. In 1989, Tascher founded the Walley Figure Skating Club in Poland. He is the 1971 Nebelhorn Trophy champion and a three-time national champion (1973–75). Juha Pekka Leskinen (born 26 February 1954) is a Finnish former competitive figure skater. Robin Cousins
Robin Cousins, MBE (born 17 August 1957) is a British former competitive figure skater who was BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 1980. He was the 1980 Olympic champion, the 1980 European champion, a three-time World medalist (1978–1980) and four-time British national champion (1977–1980), winning all of these titles during his amateur career. He followed this with a successful career as a professional figure skater and later starred in ice shows as well as producing several of his own. Didier Gailhaguet (born 22 August 1953) is a French former Figure skating, figure skater, coach and official. He served as the president of the French Federation of Ice Sports, Fédération française des sports de glace (FFSG) from 1998 to 2004 and again from 2007 to 2020. Hermann Schulz (born 14 December 1961) is a German former figure skater who represented East Germany. He is the 1981 national champion and competed at the 1980 Winter Olympics. Personal life Schulz was born on 14 December 1961 in Dresden, Saxony, East Germany. He works as an internist at the center for dialysis in Döbeln. Zdeněk Pazdírek (born 13 December 1953) is a former competitive figure skater who represented Czechoslovakia.
