Takht Jamshid Cup
The Takht Jamshid Cup ( fa, جام تخت جمشید, Jâm-e Taxt-e Jamšid) was a national football league based in Iran which lasted from 1973 to 1978. History Before 1970 Before 1970s, the tournament was called the Iranian Championship cup, but it was not regular and continuous. Most clubs participated in championships of their city or province. Therefore, the champion of the Tehran Premier League was seen as the Iranian football champion. Due to their achievements in the Tehran Premier League, Shahin Tehran and Taj, today known as Esteghlal, were the most popular teams at this time. Also Daraei and PAS Tehran were successful clubs in the local Tehran Province League. The Iranian Oghab ( fa, عقاب, meaning "Eagle") sometimes spelled as Akab and Okab missile is an unguided 230 mm (9 in) artillery rocket with a range of 34–45 km (20–28 mi). It is spin-stabilized in flight but has a proven circular error probable in excess of 500 m (1,500 ft), making it a highly inaccurate weapon. It carries a 70 kg (150 lb) high explosive fragmentation warhead, though it may also be able to carry chemical warheads. According to US sources, a modified version has been developed that could be carried and fired from Iranian Air Force F-14 Tomcat and F-4 Phantom II aircraft. The launcher is an elevatable triple-rail launcher assembly fitted to a Mercedes-Benz LA 911B 4×4 truck chassis. Ghafour Jahani (born 19 June 1951 in Bandar Anzali, Iran) is an Iranian football coach and former player. He mostly played for Malavan. He was one of the key players of Malavan reaching the third place in the Iranian Takht Jamshid in 1978. 1974 and 1977 he was the second best scorer of the Iranian league. He also won the Iranian Cup – Hazfi Cup – in 1976. Asghar Sharafi ( fa, اصغر شرفی, born 22 December 1942) is an Iranian football coach and former player who was head coach of Mes Sarcheshmeh. He has coached many teams such as Esteghlal, Iranjavan, Bargh Shiraz, Pegah and Ekbatan. He is one of the oldest head coaches in Iranian football history. Playing career Sharafi has one brother and one sister. He began his football career at Shahin and then joined the Taj. In 1964 he moved to PAS Tehran and was a teammate of Mohammad Ranjbar, Hassan Habibi and Mahmoud Yavari. Gholam Hossein Mazloumi ( fa, غلامحسین مظلومی; 13 January 1950 – 19 November 2014), nicknamed ''Sar Talaei'' ("Golden Head"), was an Iranian football player, coach and football administrator. He played for three clubs including Taj Abadan, Taj Tehran (Esteghlal), and Shahbaz FC, as well as the Iranian national team and the national youth team of Iran. He also managed Esteghlal from 1988 to 1989. During his time as a football player, he scored 37 goals for the Iran national football team and was Iran's all-time top scorer for twelve years before his record being broken by Ali Daei. He was the top scorer at the 1974 Asian Games and the 1976 AFC Asian Cup. He was chairman of Shahin Bushehr from 2011 until 2013 and also honorary deputy chairman of Esteghlal.
