1974 Iran International Tournament
The Iran International Tournament ( fa, تورنمنت بین المللی ایران) or simply known as Iran Cup ( fa, جام ایران) was a friendly football tournament held in Tehran, Iran. The first edition was held between July 12 and July 21, 1974. The second edition was 1975 Iran International Tournament. Six teams participated in this edition: Iran national football team A & B, Tunisia national football team, USSR U23 and club sides Zagłębie Sosnowiec from Poland and FK Teplice from Czechoslovakia. Ebrahim Ashtiani
Ebrahim Ashtiani (Persian: ابراهیم اشتیانی; January 1942 – 24 October 2017) was an Iranian football player. He played for the Iran national football team and spent most of his career at Persepolis. His son Ardalan is also a professional football player. Club career First years He began his playing career with Boostan and Poolad (under-19 and under-23 team of Shahin) and was promoted to the first team in 1964, by Abbas Ekrami. He showed good performances and became one of the starting players after the 1966–67 season. He received a red card in a match against Tehranjavan, this led to an involvement between players and coaches. Two days after the match, IFF (Iran's football association) ruled a one-year suspension for Shahin but club officials announced the dissolution of Shahin. Safar Iranpak
Safar Iranpak (23 December 1946 – 30 January 2009) was an Iranian football striker who played for Persepolis and the Iran national football team. Early life He was born in Masjed Soleyman on 23 December 1946. He started his playing career for his hometown team Shahin Ahvaz at the age of 12. Club career He was promoted to the first team squad of Shahin Ahvaz and joined Persepolis in summer 1968. He played twelve seasons for Persepolis and is the best goalscorer at Tehran derby. He is also the third all-time goalscorer of Persepolis. International career He was invited to the Iran national football team in 1971 and was a part of the title winning team at the 1972 AFC Asian Cup. One of his best international games was against North Korea, where he scored twice and led Iran to qualify for the 1972 Summer Olympics. He retired from national football in 1975. Mohammad Reza Adelkhani
Mohammad Reza Adelkhani ( fa, محمدرضا عادلخانی, born February 13, 1947 in Tehran, Iran) is a retired Iranian footballer and former Iran national football team player. Adelkhani achieved the UEFA Pro Licence, the first Iranian to do so. Early life He was born on 13 February 1947 in Tehran, Iran. He began playing in football in 1960 playing at Shahin. Club career Adelkhani played for SG Wattenscheid 09, Wuppertaler SV, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and VfL Klafeld-Geisweid before moving back to Iran. He was the first Iranian player to move to Europe to play football. When he was in Turkey with Taj SC for a friendly match, German talent scouts saw his performance and signed him for Bayern Munchen. Mohammad Sadeghi (born March 16, 1952) is a retired Iranian football player. Club career He played for ''Gomrok Ahvaz F.C.'', Pas F.C., Persepolis F.C. and Shahin F.C. Ali Parvin
Ali Parvin ( fa, علی پروين ; born 25 September 1946) is a retired Iranian football player and coach. He is regarded as one of the most prominent Iranian footballers. During his career, he has been associated mainly with Persepolis, played for the team for eighteen years, managed the club for seventeen years in three occasions and was also the club's president. He was selected as one of the seventeen Asian football elites by AFC and received a statue from this confederation. He was named as one of the members of Persepolis Hall of Fame and the club thanked him for his great performance during his senior career at Persepolis. Parviz Ghelichkhani ( fa, پرویز قلیچخانی, born 4 December 1945) is an Iranian-French retired football player and former captain of Iran national football team. He is now based in France, where he is the editor and publisher of a political magazine. Football career Club career He played for Alborz F.C.
