1974 European Cup Final
The 1974 European Cup Final was contested between Bayern München of West Germany and Atlético Madrid of Spain. This marked the first time in club history for both Bayern and Atlético to contest in a European Cup Final. Goals in extra time from Luis Aragonés and Hans-Georg Schwarzenbeck cancelled each other out, so a replay took place two days later. Bayern won the replay convincingly, with two goals each from Uli Hoeneß and Gerd Müller, giving the German side a 4–0 victory. This is the only European Cup/Champions League final to have been replayed. 1973–74 European Cup
The 1973–74 season of the European Cup football club tournament was won for the first time by Bayern Munich, beginning their own three-year period of domination, in a replayed final against Atlético Madrid, the only such occasion in the tournament's final. This was the first time the cup went to Germany, and the only European Cup final to require a replay after the first match was drawn 1–1 after extra time. Gerd Müller
Gerhard "Gerd" Müller (; 3 November 1945 – 15 August 2021) was a German professional footballer. A striker renowned for his clinical finishing, especially in and around the six-yard box, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalscorers in the history of the sport. With success at club and international level, he is one of nine players to have won the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Champions League and the Ballon d'Or. At international level with West Germany, he scored 68 goals in 62 appearances, and at club level, in 15 years with Bayern Munich in which he scored 365 goals in 427 Bundesliga matches, he became – and still is – record holder of that league. The King Baudouin Stadium (french: Stade Roi Baudouin , nl, Koning Boudewijnstadion ) is a sports ground in north-west Brussels, Belgium. Újpest Football Club () is a Hungarian professional football club, based in Újpest, Budapest, that competes in Nemzeti Bajnokság I. Formed in 1885, Újpest reached the first division of the Hungarian League in 1905 and has been relegated only once since then.
