1973–74 FIBA European Champions Cup
The 1973–74 FIBA European Champions Cup was the 17th edition of the European top-tier level professional basketball club competition FIBA European Champions Cup (now called EuroLeague). The Final was held at the Palais des Sports de Beaulieu, in Nantes, France, on April 3, 1974. It was won by Real Madrid, who defeated Ignis Varese in the finals, by a result of 84–82. This was the 5th consecutive final for Varese, and the first of three consecutive finals played between these two teams. Competition system * 26 teams (European national domestic league champions, plus the then current title holders), playing in a tournament system, played knock-out rounds on a home and away basis. History Boroughmuir (1961-2004) The club was founded in 1961 with an initial nucleus of players from Edinburgh's Boroughmuir High School. Panathinaikos Football Club B, known as Panathinaikos B, (Greek: ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός B) is a Greek football club based in Athens, Greece. Founded in 2021, they play as the reserve team of Panathinaikos in the Super League Greece 2. Panathinaikos B is one of four reserve teams givens approval from the EPO ( Hellenic Football Association) to play in the second division. Turun NMKY (YMCA Turku) is a Finnish professional basketball club, based in Turku. The club plays in men's I-B-division. History Turun NMKY was founded in 1920. The team has played in a total of 32 through the top league level championships. NMKY has won the championship in Finland and the Finnish Cup, both four times. B.B.C. Amicale Steesel is a Luxembourgish professional basketball club based in Steinsel. The club is one of the most successful in Luxembourg, as Amicale has won seven national championships. History Founded in 1947, BBC Amicale was the first Luxembourg club with its own clubhouse and private sports hall, where the club was based in 1958.
