1973 CONCACAF Champions' Cup
The 1973 CONCACAF Champions' Cup was the 9th edition of the annual international club football competition held in the CONCACAF region (North America, Central America and the Caribbean), the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. It determined that year's club champion of association football in the CONCACAF region. The tournament was originally scheduled to be played by 16 teams of 9 countries from 1 June till 3 August 1973 with the matches in the tournament played under the home/away match, but a final series was set up for January 8 and 10, 1974, after no team from either of the other two sections participated. The teams were split into zones (North American, Central American and Caribbean), each one qualifying the winner to participate in the final tournament. SV Transvaal
Sport Vereniging Transvaal is a Surinamese association football club, which currently play in the Eerste Divisie, the top flight of football in Suriname. They play their home games in Paramaribo at André Kamperveen Stadion to a capacity of 7,100. The team is one of Suriname's most successful, having won their first league championship in 1925, and having won a total of 19, good for second most in Suriname after Robinhood. Transvaal have also won the Beker van Suriname (Surinamese Cup) three times and the Suriname President's Cup twice (1997 and 2008). Devonshire Colts FC is a football club based in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda and are in the Cingular Wireless Premier Division league. The team colours are orange and white. History The Devonshire Colts Football Club was established in 1958, due to the efforts of Mr. Edward DeJean and Mr. Braxton Burgess. These men were members of the Howard Academy, aka Skinners School, in Bermuda. DeJean was the principal while Burgess was a physical education teacher. Sport Vereniging Robinhood is a Surinamese football club based in Paramaribo that competes in the SVB Eerste Divisie, the highest level of football in Suriname.
