Fornebu
Fornebu (local form ''Fornebo'') is a peninsular area in the suburban municipality of Bærum in Norway, bordering western parts of Oslo. Oslo Airport, Fornebu (FBU) served as the main airport for Oslo and the country since before World War II and until the evening of October 7, 1998, when it was closed down. Overnight, a grand moving operation was performed, so that the following morning, the new main airport, located inland at Gardermoen (OSL), opened for operations as the main airport, as opposed to previously having been a minor airport. As of 2001, the Fornebu area is being developed as a centre for information technology and telecom industry, as well as there being some housing project developments nearby. The new headquarters of Norway's telecom giant Telenor are located in the area. The peninsula is connected to Langodden and Snarøya, which are more established areas of private residences. Espen Knutsen
Espen Knutsen (born January 12, 1972) is a Norwegian former professional ice hockey player and currently the general manager of Vålerenga in the Norwegian GET-ligaen. He played five seasons in the North American-based National Hockey League (NHL), and is to date the only Norwegian to have played in the NHL All-Star Game. In his native Norway, Knutsen is also known by the nickname "Shampoo" because his father is a hairdresser, and also a former hockey player whose nickname was "The Soap" (Såpa in Norwegian). In 2021 he resigned from Vålerenga's board of directors. Kåre Conradi (born 11 January 1972) is a Norwegian actor. Conradi was born in Asker and he is a graduate of the Norwegian Theatre Academy and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Rune Støstad (born 8 January 1972) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. From 2021 he represents Oppland and the Labour Party at the Parlament. Gøril Kringen
Gøril Kringen (born 28 January 1972) is a Norwegian former football player and coach, who has also worked as the Football Association of Norway's (NFF) head of women's football. As a player, she was an Olympic champion with the Norway women's national football team. She played club football for Trondheims-Ørn, and holds the record for total matches played for the club (515). Playing career Playing for SK Trondheims-Ørn, Kringen won the Norwegian league seven times between 1994 and 2003. She also won the Norwegian Women's Cup eight times with Trondheims-Ørn. Kringen made her senior national team debut in July 1995—a 2–0 win over Australia—but she was not selected for Norway's victorious 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup squad. Rock Carvings At Alta
The Rock art of Alta (''Helleristningene i Alta'') are located in and around the municipality of Alta, Norway, Alta in the county of Finnmark in northern Norway. Since the first carvings were discovered in 1973, more than 6000 carvings have been found on several sites around Alta. The largest locality, at Jiepmaluokta about 5 kilometres from Alta, contains thousands of individual carvings and has been turned into an open-air museum. The site, along with the sites Storsteinen, Kåfjord, Amtmannsnes and Transfarelv, was placed on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites on 3 December 1985. It is Norway's only prehistory, prehistoric World Heritage Site.
