The 1972 CONCACAF Pre-Olympic Tournament was the third edition of the CONCACAF Pre-Olympic Tournament, the quadrennial, international football tournament organised by the CONCACAF to determine which national teams from the North, Central America and Caribbean region qualify for the Olympic football tournament. Mexico, won their second title, and qualified for the 1972 Summer Olympics together with runners-up United States as CONCACAF representatives. Leonardo Cuéllar
Leonardo Cuéllar Rivera (born 14 January 1954) is a Mexican football manager and former player who last acted as the manager of América in the Liga MX Femenil. He was the head coach of the Mexico women's national football team from 1998 to 2016. Playing career Club Cuéllar played for Pumas and Atletas Campesinos in Mexico. He played in the NASL between 1979 and 1984 for the San Diego Sockers, San Jose Earthquakes and Golden Bay Earthquakes. He played for the Earthquakes during the NASL indoor seasons. The football competition at the 1964 Summer Olympics started on 11 October and ended on 23 October. Only one event, the men's tournament, was contested. The tournament features 14 men's national teams from six continental confederations.
