The 1971–72 1. Slovenská národná hokejová liga season was the 3rd season of the 1. Slovenská národná hokejová liga, the second level of ice hockey in Czechoslovakia alongside the 1. Česká národní hokejová liga. 12 teams participated in the league, and ŠK Liptovský Mikuláš won the championship. TJ Slávia UK Bratislava and TJ VSŽ Košice B relegated. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. Hockey Club '05 Banská Bystrica is a professional Slovak ice hockey club based in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. They won 3 times Slovakian hockey league and 4 times Slovak 1. Liga, second–level ice hockey league in Slovakia. The team is nicknamed ''Barani'', which means Rams in English. History Czechoslovak era HC '05 was founded in 2005 but professional hockey in Banská Bystrica was playing long before. The previous club was established in 1922. HC Vítkovice Ridera is an ice hockey club based in Vítkovice (Ostrava), Vítkovice, the Moravia, Moravian-part of Ostrava, in the Czech Republic, competing in the Czech Extraliga. HK Trnava is an ice hockey team based in Trnava, Slovakia. It plays in the Slovak 1. Liga, the country's second division of ice hockey. The club was founded in 1957.
