Bill Fitch
William Charles Fitch (May 19, 1932 – February 2, 2022) was an American professional basketball coach in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He developed multiple teams into playoff contenders and won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in 1981. Before entering the professional ranks, he coached college basketball at the University of Minnesota, Bowling Green State University, the University of North Dakota, and his alma mater, Coe College. Fitch's teams twice qualified for the NCAA tournament. He won the Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013, and was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019. The Golden State Warriors are an American professional basketball team based in San Francisco. New York Knickerbockers
The New York Knickerbockers were one of the first organized baseball teams which played under a set of rules similar to the game today. Founded as the "Knickerbocker Base Ball Club" by Alexander Cartwright in 1845, the team remained active until the early 1870s. In 1851, the New York Knickerbockers wore the first ever recorded baseball uniforms. John Warren, Jr. (born January 7, 1947) is a retired American professional basketball player. He was a 6'3" guard–forward. The Houston Rockets are an American professional basketball team based in Houston, Texas. The team plays in the Southwest Division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Robert "Bingo" Smith (born February 26, 1946) is an American retired professional basketball player. He played for the San Diego Rockets, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the San Diego Clippers. College career Smith played for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane men's basketball, Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Luther Rackley Jr. (June 11, 1946 - November 19, 2017) was an American professional basketball player who played six seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the American Basketball Association (ABA). Early life Rackley was born in Bainbridge, Georgia and grew up in Troy, New York, where he attended Troy High School. In his senior season at Troy, Rackley led the team in scoring and rebounding as the Flying Horses went 22–0. The team earned a ranking of No. 1 in the nation from a University of Kentucky scout, and Rackley was named All-American. Walter Wesley (born January 25, 1945) is an American former professional basketball player. Early life Wesley grew up in Fort Myers, Florida, the son of Leroy and Josie Wesley. He attended Dunbar High School in Fort Myers. College career The top university basketball programs weren't yet recruiting African-American players, but Wesley was recruited by programs in the Midwest.
