The 1969–70 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 5th edition of the Honduran Liga Nacional. The format of the tournament remained the same as the previous season. Liga Nacional De Fútbol Profesional De Honduras
Liga Betcris de Honduras (''Honduran National Professional Football League'') is the highest division of football in Honduras. The league season is divided into Opening (autumn) and Closing (spring). One team is relegated to the Liga de Ascenso (the team with fewest points in Opening and Closing) and one team is promoted from Liga de Ascenso. The top four clubs participate in play-offs to decide the champion. The winners of the Opening and Closing competitions participate in the CONCACAF Champions League. Jaime Enrique Villegas Roura (born 5 July 1950 in La Ceiba) is a Honduran football defender who played for Honduras in the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Club career He also played for Real España. He played a then record 309 matches in the Honduran National League International career Villegas played several years for Honduras and has earned over 30 caps. Alfredo Hawit
Alfredo Hawit Banegas (born 8 October 1951) is a Honduran lawyer and former footballer. He is the head of the National Autonomous Federation of Football of Honduras and was made the interim head of CONCACAF on 4 June 2011. Club career As a player, he played professional football for Honduran club sides Progreso, Club Deportivo Olimpia and F.C. Motagua. He scored 11 goals for them altogether. He is one of only few Honduran players who made his debut for a senior side, aged only 15.
