1965–66 Divizia B
The 1965–66 Divizia B was the 26th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to two series, each of them having 14 teams. At the end of the season the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A and the last two places from each series relegated to Divizia C. Liga II
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The teams placed from 7th to 12th will play a relegation play-off, where the last two teams are relegated to Liga III. CSU Dunărea De Jos Galați
Clubul Sportiv Universitatea "Dunărea de Jos" Galați commonly known as CS Universitatea "Dunărea de Jos" Galați, or simply as CSU Galați, was a Romanian football club based in Galați, Galați County who was founded in 1953, re-founded in 1967 and 2017 and finally dissolved in 2020. Chimia Râmnicu Vâlcea
Chimia Râmnicu Vâlcea was a football club based in Râmnicu Vâlcea, Vâlcea County, Romania. It was founded in 1946 and dissolved in 2004. It won one Romanian Cup, in 1973. History In 1946 ''Vâlceana'' appeared in the Third Division. In 1947 it changed its name to ''CSM Vâlcea''. The club is relegated and only in 1956 succeeds to return again under the name of ''Flamura Roşie'', the name being changed the next year to ''Unirea'' and in 1958 to ''Şantierul Govora''. It is relegated again, but after one year, the team jumped directly to the Second Division under the name of ''Chimia Govora''. In 1962 the club changed its name again, this time to ''Unirea Râmnicu Vâlcea'', in 1966 to ''Oltul'' and in 1967 to ''Chimia Râmnicu Vâlcea''. Faur București
Faur București was a football club based in Bucharest, Romania. History The club was established in 1935 as Metalul by workers at Malaxa. Prior to World War II they were known as Titanii and Rogifer. After the nationalisation of Malaxa, the club was renamed 23 August before becoming Metalochimic. In 1947–48 the club won promotion from Divizia B into Divizia A. However, they finished second bottom of the division the following season, and were relegated back to Divizia B. RSSSF The club was later renamed Energia and then back to Metalul again. Fotbal Club Politehnica Timișoara (), commonly known as Politehnica Timișoara or simply Poli Timișoara, was a Romanian football club from Timișoara, Timiș County, established in 1921 and dissolved in 2012. During its existence, the team won two Cupa României trophies and was twice runner-up in the Liga I. It amassed 49 seasons in the latter competition. Named after and initially run by the Polytechnic University of Timișoara, the club was founded in 1921 by mathematician Traian Lalescu. After two decades spent in the regional leagues, Politehnica promoted to the top flight in 1948. Siderurgistul Galați was a football club based in Galaţi, Galați County, Romania. It was founded in 1955 and dissolved in 1967. History In 1955 Dinamo Galați is founded and in 1961 the club was renamed CSO Galați, and one year later renamed again in Siderurgistul, with the following players: Dan, Câmpean, Lupea, Hulea, Stănescu, Dumitru Ionel, Coman I, Oprea, Costache, Militaru, Voicu, I.
