12th Parliament Of Turkey
The 12th Grand National Assembly of Turkey existed from 15 October 1961 to 1 October 1965. Actually there is one other parliament between the 11th Parliament of Turkey and the 12th parliament of Turkey. But the members of the chamber of deputies in 1960–61 term were appointed members rather than elected members and usually chamber of deputies is not included in the list of the parliaments in Turkey. According to the new constitution, there were two houses in the parliament. There were 450 MPs in the lower house ; Republican People's Party (CHP) with 173 MPs, Justice Party (AP) with 158 MPs, New Turkey Party (YTP) with 65 MPs and Republican Villagers Nation Party with 54 MPs. Refet Bele
Refet Bele (1881 – 3 October 1963), also known as Refet Bey or Refet Pasha was a Turkish military commander. He served in the Ottoman Army and the Turkish Army, where he retired as a general. Life He was born to a Turkish family in Thessaloniki in 1881. He took the surname Bele because of his grandfather who was originally from Byala/Bele, Bulgaria. Because of the troubles in the Balkans his family moved first to Istanbul but settled later back to Thessaloniki when he was an infant. He studied in the military academy, enrolled in the army and became a member of the Committee of Union and Progress. He took part in the Italo-Turkish War (1911) and then in the Balkan Wars(1912–1913) in which his hometown was lost to the Greeks. Abdülhak Şinasi Hisar (March 14, 1887 in Istanbul – May 3, 1963 in Istanbul) was a Turkish writer. Emine Ülker Tarhan
Emine Ülker Tarhan (born 29 November 1963) is a Turkish jurist and politician formerly from the Republican People's Party (Turkish: Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi, CHP). She was formerly a judge at the High Court of Appeals. She served as the vice spokesperson of her party in the parliament before resigning on 31 October 2014. She founded the Anatolia Party on 14 November 2014 and led it until its disestablishment in December 2015. Tarhan was born in Tarsus, Mersin. She was educated at the Ankara University Law School. Tanju Çolak
Tanju Çolak (born 10 November 1963 in Samsun) is a Turkish retired footballer who played as a striker. Club career He made his debut for Samsun Yolspor. From there he was transferred to Samsunspor in 1981 where he was the top scorer in both the 1985–86 and 1986–87 seasons. Çolak then moved to Galatasaray in the end of 1986–87 season. He was the top scorer in Europe with 39 goals in the 1987–88 season. At the same time, he was awarded the European Golden Boot given by France Football.
