1963 Soviet Class B
The 1963 Soviet Football Championship (Class B) was the thirteenth season since creation of Class B in 1950 in place of the Vtoraya Gruppa. At the same time, in 1963 the Class B tournament was shifted one tier down in the Soviet league system. In this way the third level competitions were revived for the first time since 1937. The structure of the tournament was preserved having separate competitions for Russia, Ukraine, and other Soviet republics. Russian SFSR The Russian Republican competition consisted of five zones of 20 clubs. The top two teams from each zone advanced to semi-final stage composed of two groups with five teams in each. FC Volga Tver
FC Tver (russian: link=no, ФК «Тверь») is an association football club from Tver, Russia, firstly founded in 1908 as FC Volga Tver. It has played professionally in 1937, 1949, 1953 to 1956, 1958 to 1999, 2004 to 2017, and from 2020. In 1992–1995, the club was called Trion-Volga Tver. It played on the second-highest level (Soviet First League and Russian First Division) in 1957 to 1962, 1964 to 1969 and 1992. Another Tver team, Spartak Tver, existed from 1937 to 1957 and played in the Soviet First League in 1949 and from 1953 to 1956. The club was dissolved at the end of the 2016–17 season due to lack of financing. In April 2020, the club was reestablished as professional football club named FC Tver, with financial support from Tver Oblast, and FC Arsenal Tula. Krystal Kherson is a professional football club from Kherson in Ukraine that has a long history in the Soviet and then the Ukrainian Leagues. As of the 2020–21 season, it will play in the Ukrainian First League, the second tier of Ukrainian football, following promotion from the 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League. FC Avanhard Zhovti Vody is a Ukrainian amateur football club from Zhovti Vody, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. In 1959–70 as Avanhard the club participated in the championship of the Ukrainian SSR among teams of masters (professional). Since 1993 it was known as Sirius and in 1994 moved to Kryvyi Rih. In 1995 Sirius was merged with a local amateur team Sportinvest Kryvyi Rih which replaced Sirius in competition for year. In 1996 the club folded. It was replaced by Nyva Bershad.
