CTV Television Network
The CTV Television Network, commonly known as CTV, is a Canadian English-language terrestrial television network. Launched in 1961 and acquired by BCE Inc. in 2000, CTV is Canada's largest privately owned television network and is now a division of the Bell Media subsidiary of BCE. It is Canada's largest privately or commercially owned network consisting of 22 owned-and-operated stations nationwide and two privately owned affiliates, and has consistently been placed as Canada's top- rated network in total viewers and in key demographics since 2002, after several years trailing the rival Global Television Network in key markets. Bell Media also operates additional CTV-branded properties, including the 24-hour national cable news network CTV News Channel and the secondary CTV Two television system. Maggie Muggins
''Maggie Muggins'' was a Canadian children's radio and television series which began on-air live as a fifteen-minute program on CBC Radio on New Year's Day, 1947. The highly popular radio program engaged children's imaginations, with its continuing cast of unique animal puppets and human characters. ''Maggie Muggins moved'' to CBC Television to air between September 29, 1955, and June 27, 1962. Maggie Muggins is a freckle-faced girl in a gingham dress, with her red hair pulled back in two long pigtails who had adventures with many human-like animals and her neighbour Mr. McGarrity, who constantly worked on his garden. Chez Hélène
''Chez Hélène'' is a children's television series produced by and broadcast on CBC Television. The 15-minute weekday program was broadcast on the English television network to provide viewers with exposure to the French language. The program was produced at CBC's Montreal studios. It began its 14-season run on 26 October 1959, with the final program airing 25 May 1973. Hélène Baillargeon portrayed the title role. Other cast members were Madeline Kronby who portrayed the bilingual Louise, and a mouse puppet named Suzie who generally spoke English. Corinne Orr provided the voice for Suzie. In terms of children's series, the program remained popular in its final season, with a reported 437,000 viewers recorded by BBM in November 1972. But CBC executives cancelled the series, claiming that it had run its course, and that the network's broadcasts of ''Sesame Street'' would incorporate five minutes of French-language segments per episode. ''CBC News Magazine'' (later known as ''Newsmagazine'') was a weekly Canadian news television series which debuted on CBC Television on September 8, 1952. The series presented the week's international news highlights and documentaries from CBC correspondents around the world. It ran until 1981 when it was cancelled in order to make way for '' The Journal''. Mark Holden (born Mark Adrian Cortis; 21 September 1962; legal name Mark Adrian Holden-Aikhomu) is a British-born Canadian actor of Nigerian descent, who works in film, television, theatre and voice. He has worked extensively throughout Canada, UK, Europe and South Africa. He is best known for playing CIA handler John Lynn in the Fox Networks Group television series '' Deep State'' and playing James Morse on stage in the original London cast of '' Pretty Woman: The Musical'' at the Savoy Theatre in the West End. Most recently his voice can be heard playing Doctor Paradox in the 2020 video game ''Cyberpunk 2077'', developed by CD Projekt, and playing Nikolas in another eagerly awaited video game '' Dying Light 2: Stay Human'' developed by Techland. Ian James Corlett
Ian James Corlett (born August 29, 1962) is a Canadian voice actor, animator, and author. He is the creator of Studio B Productions' animated series ''Being Ian'' and ''Yvon of the Yukon''. One of his best-known animation roles was the first English voice of adult Goku in the Ocean dub of ''Dragon Ball Z'' in 1996–1997. Career Corlett began his career in 1984. In addition to programming some drum tracks and helping with some computer sequences on Queensrÿche's album '' Operation: Mindcrime'', and also selling the band some music gear in the 1980s, Corlett also lent his voice to several animated series produced/dubbed in Canada. His most notable voice roles included the title character of the ''Mega Man'' TV show, Cheetor in '' Beast Wars: Transformers'', Glitch-Bob in ''ReBoot'', and Andy Larkin in ''What's with Andy?''. ''Twenty Questions'' was a Canadian television game show, which aired on CTV in the 1961–62 television season. Produced by CJAY-TV in Winnipeg and hosted by Stewart MacPherson, the show was an adaptation of the earlier American game show '' Twenty Questions''. Panelists on the show included Rassy Ragland, the mother of Neil Young. ''Twenty Questions'' was broadcast on Wednesday evenings, 19:30 in Toronto, beginning 4 October 1961. The program lasted only a single season on CTV. MacPherson, who had previously hosted a radio version of the show in Britain, subsequently went on to host a British adaptation of ''Twenty Questions'' for Associated-Rediffusion. Les Wedman, television columnist for ''The Vancouver Sun'', deemed the production to be a "dull, witless presentation of a parlor icgame".
