Margaret Court
Margaret Court (''née'' Smith; born 16 July 1942), also known as Margaret Smith Court, is an Australian retired former world No. 1 tennis player and a Christian minister. Considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time, her 24 major singles titles and total of 64 major titles (including 19 Grand Slam women's doubles and 21 Grand Slam mixed doubles titles) are the most in tennis history. Court was born in Albury, New South Wales. In 1960, aged 17, she won the first of seven consecutive Australian Open singles titles. She completed a Career Grand Slam at the age of 21 with her victory at Wimbledon in 1963. Taking a brief hiatus in 1966 and 1967, Court played as an amateur until the advent of the Open Era in 1968. A * Ace: Serve where the tennis ball lands inside the '' service box'' and is not touched by the receiver; thus, a shot that is both a serve and a winner is an ace. Helga Schultze
Helga Schultze (2 February 1940 – 12 September 2015), also known by her married name Helga Hösl, was a German female tennis player who reached a singles ranking of No. 5 in 1964. Schultze was born in Berlin on 2 February 1940, and after World War II, she moved with her family to Hanau, where she played for the local club THC Hanau. Between 1961 and 1968 she competed in seven Wimbledon Championships. She achieved her best singles result at Wimbledon in 1962 when she reached the fourth round, losing to second-seeded Darlene Hard. She reached the semifinals at the 1964 French Championships where she lost in three sets to top-seeded and eventual champion Margaret Smith. Solange (died 10 May, c. 880) was a Frankish shepherdess and a locally venerated Christian saint and cephalophore, whose cult is restricted to Sainte-Solange, Cher. Saint Solange was the patron of the traditional Province of Berry, of which Cher is a part. Solange was born to a poor, but devout family in the town of Villemont, near Bourges, and consecrated her virginity at the age of seven; according to some, her mere presence cured the sick and exorcised devils. The son of the count of Poitiers was highly taken with the beauty and popularity of Solange and approached her when she was tending to her sheep, but she rejected his suit. He argued with her to no avail, and so he decided to abduct her. Michelle Boulle-Rodríguez is a French and Chilean former professional tennis player. When she started her career she was known as Michelle Boulle and represented France, then married tennis player Patricio Rodríguez in 1966 and became a naturalised Chilean. Donna Floyd Fales (née Floyd; born October 14, 1940) is a former American amateur tennis player. She was ranked in the Top 10 in the United States from 1960 to 1963, and from 1965 to 1966. Biography She was born in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Arlington, Virginia at the age of 13. During her playing career she lived in New York City and since 1968 in Miami, Florida. A graduate of the College of William and Mary, she won her first national junior title at age 15. She captured the singles title at the second national collegiate tournament for women in 1959. She played on the U.S. Wightman Cup team in 1963, and later was captain of the Wightman and Federation Cup teams.
