Yokohama
is the second-largest city in Japan by population and the most populous municipality of Japan. Emam-Ali Habibi Goudarzi ( fa, امامعلی حبیبی گودرزی, born 27 May 1931) is a retired Iranian freestyle wrestler. He won gold medals at the 1958 Asian Games; 1959, 1961 and 1962 world championships; and 1956 Olympics, placing fourth in 1960. Dumitru Pârvulescu
Dumitru Pârvulescu (or, in older spelling, Pîrvulescu; 14 June 1933 – 9 April 2007) was a flyweight Greco-Roman wrestler from Romania. He competed at the 1952, 1956, 1960 and 1964 Olympics and won a gold medal in 1960, placing third in 1964 and fourth in 1956. At the world championships he won a silver medal in 1961 and finished fourth-fifth in 1953 and 1958. Sporting career Pârvulescu took up wrestling at a very young age, with the Vulturii club in Lugoj. During his career he also represented Știința (Bucharest), Steagul Roșu ( Braşov), and for the most part Steaua Bucharest. He debuted internationally in East Berlin in 1951, where he finished second. His Olympic debut in 1952 was less successful (2 defeats, 9th place). He narrowly missed the podium in the world Championship in Naples in 1953, losing only to the world champion Ahmet Bilek; he also finished fourth at the 1956 Olympics. Armais Sayadov
Armais Vaganovich Sayadov (russian: Армаис Ваганович Саядов, born 18 October 1937) is an Armenian-Ukrainian retired flyweight Greco-Roman wrestler from Azerbaijan. He competed for the Soviet Union at the 1964 Summer Olympics, but was eliminated after three bouts. Sayadov won the world title in 1961 and placed second at the 1966 European Championships. Domestically he won the Soviet title in 1958, 1961, 1963 and 1965. His elder brother Georgy competed in freestyle wrestling at the 1952 Olympics. Armais was born to the Armenian wrestler Vagan Sayadyan, who changed his last name to Sayadov to blend in Azerbaijan. Besides Georgy, Armais had three other brothers. Initially both Georgy and Armais competed as flyweights in freestyle wrestler, but Armais later moved to Greco-Roman wrestling to avoid competing against his brother. Aleksandr Medved
Aleksandr Vasiliyevich Medved (born 16 September 1937) is a Ukrainian-born Soviet Belarusian retired freestyle wrestler who competed for the Soviet Union and was named "one of the greatest wrestlers in history" by FILA, the sport's governing body. Between 1962 and 1972 he won three Olympic gold medals, seven world and three European titles. He served as the Olympic flag bearer for the Soviet Union in 1972, for Belarus in 2004 and recited the Judge's Oath at the Opening Ceremony of the 1980 Olympics. Biography According to Medved, his grandparents came from Russia; his grandmother was ca. 195 cm, and his grandfather was even taller.
