Jack Myers (American Football)
John Melvin "Moose" Myers (October 8, 1924 – December 24, 2020) was an American football player, coach, and college athletics administrator. He played college football at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and professionally in National Football League (NFL) with the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams. Myers served as the head football coach at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California from 1953 to 1960, compiling a record of 39–33–5. He was also the athletic director at Pacific from 1956 to 1961. Myers attended high school in Ventura, California, and served in the United States Navy as an ensign during World War II. Rogers Field (Washington)
Rogers Field was an outdoor athletic stadium in the northwest United States, on the campus of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. It was the home venue of the WSU Cougars football and track teams until severely damaged by a fire in April 1970. Partially demolished in early 1971, Rogers Field was replaced by the concrete Martin Stadium, which was built on the same site and opened in 1972. Willie Hector, Jr. (born December 23, 1939) was an American football offensive guard who played one season with the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Rams in the fifth round of the 1961 NFL Draft. He was also drafted by the San Diego Chargers of the American Football League (AFL) in the tenth round of the 1961 AFL Draft. Hector played college football at Pacific. He was also a member of the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Early years Hector played high school football at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California and earned all-Northern California honors in 1956. The 1961 National Football League draft took place at the Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia on December 27–28, 1960. The league would later hold an expansion draft for the Minnesota Vikings expansion franchise. Ratcliffe Stadium
Ratcliffe Stadium is a collegiate athletic venue in the western United States, located on the campus of Fresno City College in Fresno, California. Opened in 1926, it was renamed in 1941 after their first football coach, Emory Ratcliffe. The stadium hosted the Raisin Bowl and was home to the Fresno State Bulldogs football team through 1979; they moved to their on-campus Bulldog Stadium in 1980. Ratcliffe also hosted the West Coast Relays, a major track and field competition. Today, local high school football games and various track and field events are still held there.
