1957–58 Greek Football Cup
The 1957–58 Greek Football Cup was the 16th edition of the Greek Football Cup. The competition culminated with the Greek Cup Final, held at Karaiskakis Stadium, on 30 July 1958. The match was contested by Olympiacos and Doxa Drama, with Olympiacos winning by 5–1. Calendar ''From Round of 32 onwards:'' Knockout phase In the knockout phase, teams play against each other over a single match. If the match ends up as a draw, extra time will be played and if the match remains a draw a replay match is set at the home of the guest team which the extra time rule stands as well. If a winner doesn't occur after the replay match the winner emerges by a flip of a coin. Elias Yfantis ( el, Ηλίας Υφαντής; born 29 July 1936) is a Greek former professional football player who played as a striker and a later manager of Olympiacos. He was a key member of Olympiacos during the 1950's and 1960's. Biography Born in ''Aghia Sophia'' in Piraeus, Yfantis joined the senior side of Olympiacos F.C. at the age of 17. He played for the first time in an official match in 1953. He played as a forward and scored 225 career goals in all competitions. In A'Ethniki, he not only played in 58 games in three seasons and scored 30 goals, but he had also scored first for the historic struggle of Olympiacos in European competition against AC Milan (final score 2–2). Thanasis Bebis ( el, Θανάσης Μπέμπης; 26 June 1928 – 23 July 2017) was a Greek professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is deeply connected to Olympiacos, where he spent most of his career and won 24 titles. He made 17 appearances for the Greece national team scoring one goal. He was given the nickname "Pinocchio" as he deceived the opposite defences with his dribbling skills and moves with the ball. Gymnasticos Syllogos Iraklis ( el, Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος Ηρακλής, en, Gymnastics Club Heracles), commonly referred to as Iraklis, is a Greek multi-sports club based in Thessaloniki.
