1955 Latin Cup
The 1955 Latin Cup (french: Coupe Latine 1955) was the sixth edition of the annual Latin Cup which was played by clubs of the Romance-speaking Europe, Southwest European nations of France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. The tournament was hosted by France, and the Spanish club Real Madrid CF was the winner of the tournament after defeating Stade de Reims by a score of 2–0 in the final match. Vincenzo Orlandini (30 August 1910 – 23 October 1961) was the first Italian to officiate in a FIFA World Cup final match when he ran the line to William Ling in the 1954 World Cup final between Hungary and West Germany.
