Segunda División
The Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Segunda División, commercially known as LaLiga SmartBank for sponsorship reasons, is the men's second professional association football division of the Spanish football league system. Administrated by the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional, it is contested by 22 teams, with the top two teams plus the winner of a play-off promoted to LaLiga and replaced by the three lowest-placed teams in that division. Hércules de Alicante Club de Fútbol, S.A.D. () is a Spanish football team in Alicante, in the autonomous community of Valencian Community. Founded on 25 October 1922, it currently plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 3 and plays its home games at the 29,500-capacity Estadio José Rico Pérez. Racing Club de Ferrol is a Spanish football team based in Ferrol, Province of A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia. Barakaldo Club de Fútbol is a Spanish football team based in Barakaldo, in the autonomous community of the Basque Country. Founded in 1917 it plays in Tercera División RFEF – Group 4, holding home matches at '' Lasesarre'', with a capacity of 7,960 seats. Real Avilés Club de Fútbol is a Spanish football team based in Avilés, in the autonomous community of Asturias. 1951–52 Tercera División
The 1951–52 Tercera División season was the 16th since its establishment. Format 16 clubs in 6 geographic groups (96 clubs) participated. Three withdrew before the end of the season. The 6 group winners were promoted to the Segunda División. It had been planned to reorganise the Segunda and Tercera Divisiónes but the plan was never implemented and the Promotion play-offs had no consequence. The bottom three clubs in Groups I and II of the Segunda División were relegated and no other Tercera División clubs were promoted.
