1952 Green Bay Packers Season
The 1952 Green Bay Packers season was their 34th season overall and their 32nd season in the National Football League. The team finished with a 6–6 record under third-year head coach Gene Ronzani for a fourth-place finish in the National Conference in 1952. After climbing to a 6–3 record, the Packers lost their final three games, but the .500 record was their best since 1947. The Packers played their Milwaukee home games in Marquette Stadium during this season only, after using Wisconsin State Fair Park from 1934 through 1951. The new County Stadium became the venue in 1953, and hosted the Milwaukee home games through 1994, when they were discontinued. Head coach Ronzani was a Marquette University alumnus (1933) and won nine varsity letters in college. Bill Reichardt
William John Reichardt (June 24, 1930 – June 1, 2004) was a fullback and placekicker in the National Football League who played for the Green Bay Packers. Tom Johnson (tackle, Born 1931)
Thomas Johnson (born January 19, 1931) was an American football player. He played at the defensive and offensive tackle positions for the University of Michigan from 1948 to 1951. He was selected as the most valuable defensive tackle in the Big Ten Conference in 1950 and as a first-team All-American at the same position in 1951. He was drafted in the 6th round of the 1952 NFL Draft and became the second African-American to play for the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League. Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In the modern system of specialized units, offensive tackle and defensive tackle are separate positions, and the stand-alone term "tackle" refers to the offensive tackle position only. The offensive tackle (OT, T) is a position on the offensive line, left and right. Like other offensive linemen, their job is to block: to physically keep defenders away from the offensive player who has the football and enable him to advance the football and eventually score a touchdown. Dave "Hawg" Hanner, born Joel David Hanner, (May 20, 1930 – September 11, 2008) was an American football player, coach and scout who spent nearly all of his 42-year career with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League. Bobby Dillon
Bobby Dan Dillon (February 23, 1930 – August 22, 2019) was an American professional football player in the National Football League (NFL). He played as a safety and spent his entire eight-year career with the Green Bay Packers. Dillon was an All-American with the University of Texas Longhorns. Although he was a safety, he also returned kicks and played several games at halfback. He finished his college career with 13 interceptions on defense, one touchdown as a halfback, and multiple kick returns for touchdowns. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 3rd round (28th pick) of the 1952 NFL draft. After multiple accidents during his childhood, Dillon lost one of his eyes and played his entire career with a glass eye.
