Poland Ekstraklasa (), meaning "Extra Class" in Polish, named PKO Ekstraklasa since the 2019–20 season due to its sponsorship by PKO Bank Polski, is the top Polish professional league for men's association football teams. Contested by 18 clubs, operating a system of promotion and relegation with the I liga, seasons start in July, and end in May or June the following year. Teams play a total of 34 games each. Games are played on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. The winner of the Ekstraklasa qualifies for the Polish SuperCup. The league is now operated by the Ekstraklasa Spółka Akcyjna. Klub Sportowy Górnik Radlin is a Polish sports club based in Radlin. It has football, volleyball, gymnastics, swimming and fencing sections. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. History This enterprise, according to its founders, was created in January 1994 by three regulars of the Rec.Sport.Soccer (RSS) Usenet newsgroup: Lars Aarhus, Kent Hedlundh, and Karel Stokkermans. Robert Gronowski (13 May 1926 – 24 February 1994) was a Polish professional association football player and manager. He spent the majority of his career with Lechia Gdańsk, with whom he also managed for a brief spell after retiring from playing professional football. His brother, Henryk Gronowski was also a former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Early years Having been born in Gliwice in 1926, which was then in Germany, Robert was born as Robert Gruner. Wacław Sąsiadek (4 March 1931 – 2 October 2017) was a Polish footballer who played as a forward. He also played for the Poland national football team, and was a football manager. Career Sąsiadek began playing at the youth level with Pogoń Katowice, and ultimately joined the senior team in 1946. In 1949, he played in Liga Polska with Legia Warsaw where he played for five seasons. In 1954, he signed with Polonia Bytom where in his debut season he assisted in securing the Polish Championship. He concluded his career in the 1960-61 season with Silesia Miechowice after sustaining a knee injury. He died on October 2, 2017. International career He made his debut for the Poland national football team on October 17, 1948, in a friendly match against Finland.
