Lynn Chandnois
Lynn Chandnois (February 24, 1925 – April 19, 2011) was an American football player who earned All-American honors for the Michigan State Spartans in 1949, won the NFL Player of the Year award for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1952, and played twice in the Pro Bowl. Biography Early years Lynn Chandnois was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on February 24, 1925. He moved to Flint, Michigan to live with an aunt and attend school. Chandnois earned All-State honors at Flint Central High School in basketball and football. After graduating in 1944, he joined the United States Naval Air Corps and served for two years where he achieved the rank of Aviation Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Petty Officer. Val Jansante
Valerio Richard Jansante (September 27, 1920 – October 1, 2008) was a professional American football player who played wide receiver for six seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers. Career High school Born in La Belle, Pennsylvania, Jansante first played his first game of football, in his senior year in high school in 1939, under Alex Ufema at Bentleyville High School in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania . He played running back and end and racked up 9 touchdowns. Three TDs were against Ellsworth High all for more than 40 yards per score. Comiskey Park was a baseball park in Chicago, Illinois, located in the Armour Square neighborhood on the near-southwest side of the city. The stadium served as the home of the Chicago White Sox of the American League from 1910 through 1990. The professional American football team now known as the Arizona Cardinals previously played in Chicago, Illinois, as the Chicago Cardinals from 1898 to 1959 before relocating to St. Louis, Missouri, for the 1960 through 1987 seasons. Ray Mathews
Raymond Dyral Mathews (February 26, 1929 – December 20, 2015) was an American football halfback and end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football for Clemson University. Early years Mathews attended McKeesport Area High School, before moving on to Clemson University, where he played baseball and football. He was the starting halfback in a backfield that included Fred Cone. The 1948 team finished undefeated and beat the University of Missouri, 24-23, in the 1949 Gator Bowl. As a senior, he was a part of another undefeated season and played in the 1951 Orange Bowl, beating the University of Miami 15–14. He made an acrobatic reception for one of the touchdowns.
