The 1950 NCAA Track and Field Championships were contested at the 29th annual NCAA-hosted track meet to determine the team and individual national champions of men's collegiate track and field events in the United States. The Texas Longhorns men's track & field program is coached by Edrick Floréal. The Longhorns were runners-up in the outdoor championships in 1987, 1988, and 1997 but have never won a title.
