The 1946–47 season was List of Real Madrid CF seasons, Real Madrid Club de Fútbol's 44th season in existence and the club's La Liga, 15th consecutive season in the top flight of Spanish football. Summary During summer Bernabeu appointed Baltasar Albeniz from Español as new head coach for the upcoming season. The squad was reinforced with Arsuaga, Ferrús, Rodriguez Gallardo, Sureda and future club legend Luis Molowny whom transfer rights President Bernabeu bought 'in extremis' sending his club manager Jacinto Quincoces by airplane to Las Palmas just before the arrival of FC Barcelona manager Ricardo Cabot by boat travel. In the league, the squad reached the first spot several rounds aimed by Pruden goals, however, the team collapsed by the second part of the season finishing on 7th place. Clemente Fernández
Clemente Fernández López (23 November 1919 – 17 July 1996), known simply as Clemente, was a Spanish professional footballer who played as a right back. Club career Having begun his career as a midfielder, Clemente joined hometown club Real Madrid in 1942 from local amateurs CD Deportivo Castilla, playing in only four La Liga games in his first season. After one year on loan at Hércules CF he returned to the ''Merengues'', but appeared in just seven league matches during the campaign. Of the following seven seasons, Clemente managed to be regularly played in four of them, winning three major titles including two Copa del Rey trophies. In 1952, after 144 official games with Real Madrid, he signed for fellow league side Deportivo de La Coruña, retiring at the end of the campaign at the age of 33. Sabino Barinaga Alberdi (15 August 1922 – 19 March 1988) was a Spanish football forward and manager. He appeared in 205 La Liga matches and scored 92 goals over 13 seasons, almost exclusively for Real Madrid. He later embarked on a managerial career, which lasted nearly 25 years. Nazario Belmar Martínez
Nazario Belmar Martínez (25 October 1919, in Elda – 9 July 1980, in Madrid) was a Spanish footballer, film producer and lawyer. A midfielder, Belmar began playing at CD Eldense before the Spanish Civil War and, after, at Hércules CF. He signed with Real Madrid CF when he was 19. In a match with Real Betis in the 1946–47 season, he was seriously injured and he had to announce his retirement. In 1957 he established Naga Films with Marcelino Galatas Rentería, making films as ''El verdugo'' with Rafael Azcona and Luis García Berlanga. Because of the Spanish television pressions, he abandoned Naga Films to establish in 1964 Belmar P.C., filming Pedro Lazaga's ''Un vampiro para dos''. Finally, in 1965 he abandoned this career. Antonio Alsúa Alonso (25 October 1919 – 4 March 1998) was a Spanish professional footballer, who played as a midfielder. He became one of the most important players for Real Madrid CF in the 1940s, playing over 170 matches for the Spanish side and winning the Copa del Rey in 1946 and 1947.
