1945–46 Oberliga
The 1945–46 Oberliga was the inaugural season of the Oberliga, the first tier of the football league system in Allied-occupied Germany. The league operated in seven regional divisions, Berlin (four divisions), South and Southwest. For the second consecutive season no German championship was held. The competition would resume in 1948 with 1. FC Nürnberg taking out the first post-war championship. In the British and Soviet occupation zone no Oberligas were organised. In the former the Oberliga Nord and Oberliga West commenced play in the 1947–48 season while, in the Soviet zone, the DDR-Oberliga was organised from 1949 onwards. In the French occupation zone the Oberliga Südwest operated only in the north with the southern division established in the following season. Oberliga (football)
The Oberliga (, "Upper League"; plural: ''Oberligen'') is the fifth tier of the German football league system. Before the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008, it was the fourth tier. At the end of the 2011–12 season the number of Oberligas was increased from eleven to fourteen. With the exception of the Nazi Germany, Nazi-era ''Gauliga'', the term ''Oberliga'' (equivalent to ''Premier League'' in English) was used prior to the Introduction of the Bundesliga, formation of the Bundesliga in 1963 for first-division leagues in Germany. Between 1978–94 the term ''Amateuroberliga'' was used for third-tier leagues, which were then the highest level of amateur play in the country. The current usage of the designation Oberliga was introduced in 1994. BSC Kickers 1900 is a German football club from the Schöneberg district of south central Berlin. The roots of the club are in the establishment of '' Berliner Thor- und Fußball Club Elf'' on 1 November 1900. This was followed by a series of mergers that led to the formation of ''Schöneberger FC Kickers 1900'' in 1923 and the club's advance to first division play in the Oberliga Berlin-Brandenburg (I). Wacker 04 Berlin was a Football in Germany, German football club based in Berlin. The club folded in 1994 after becoming insolvent. ''Wacker'' played at the highest level in Berlin for many years throughout its history, in the Oberliga Berlin-Brandenburg, the Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg from 1933 onwards and, finally, the Oberliga Berlin (1945–63), Oberliga Berlin. Spandauer SV
Spandauer SV was a German football club from Berlin. History Early years The capital city was one of the earliest centres of German football and was home to 1. Spandauer Fußballklub Triton, formed on 24 May 1894, and Sportclub Germania Spandau, formed on 15 October 1895. These two sides merged late in 1920 to form Spandauer Sport-Vereinigung 94/95 e.V., the predecessor of today's club. The team was promoted to the Verbandsliga Berlin-Brandenburg in 1921 where they earned a string of third- and fourth-place finishes. Their best result was a distant second place behind Hertha BSC in 1928. German football was re-organized under the Third Reich in 1933 into sixteen top flight Gauligen. Berliner Fußball-Club Viktoria 1889 was a German sports club based in the Tempelhof district of Berlin. Football, rugby, and cricket came to continental Europe in the late 19th century, and these "English games" became immediately popular in many countries.
